Food for Thought…or not

Published by Michele Boyer at 3:29 am under My Designs, My Favorite Things

Youre Invited

I know it’s not October BUT…

Just the other day I got my first two sets from My Favorite Things, “You Take the Cake” and one of their new releases, “Fright Night.”  I got this notion to combine the two sets and substitute the cake for a bowl of spiders as a Halloween dinner invitation.   And who better to serve than a headless woman! lol.

I omitted the cake, drew in the bowl, colored it, then added the spiders.  I went over the creepy crawlies with a black 3-d ink pen so their bodies are slightly raised and shiny.  Yuck…even *I* don’t want to look at them.

I used my Cheesecloth background (for the first time in, what…two years?) on the top part of the card.  The center band is wheeled using the new See You Around wheel from Stampin’ Up.  I added some dots of 3-d black ink in the centers of the circles, squiggled some zig-zags along the borders and added the escapee.

I’ll have more MFT designs soon.  Bon appetit!

Mmmmmmm…yum — NOT!! Cute card, though! I think it’s funny that the wheel is called See You Around and the way you used it makes it look sort of like eyeballs–see what I mean? Get it?
