Spooky Daisy

Published by Shel9999 at 7:02 am under Lizzie Anne Designs, My Designs

Boo LAD1Time for another Take Two with Julia, Lindsey and Trudee!  It’s been a while.  I’ve missed these challenges!

This time we’re pairing Lizzie Anne Designs with Daisy D’s.  One of my favorites of all Lizzie sets is Spooked.  I just LOVE those bones!  I love the bat and the skull too, but decided to go with the house for this one.  After choosing the set I wanted to use, I had a dilemma.  I didn’t have any Daisy D’s Halloween paper.  But then a little bird (Trudee) said, “Hey, M, Gypsy Harvest will work for Halloween.”  PERFECT!   And how very fitting for this little bird (Trudee) to suggest Gypsy Harvest because do you know who *made* me buy the entire line of Gypsy Harvest?  Trudee.  :)  (At least she makes me buy really good stuff!!!)

So in my stack of Gypsy Harvest, I found this piece of orange and yellow paisley that I thought would make a great background for the house.  From there, I chose the larger background print.  I added the stitches across the top and bottom of the house image, then the straight stitches across the top and bottom of the card front.  After placing the matted bones strip, I thought the card still needed something.  And I REALLY wanted to use my favorite “Halloween-ish” ribbon–the black and orange reversible satin.  So I added the rounded tab and tied the ribbon there.  It’s a pretty simple card really, but I like it.  Thanks for stopping by!! Don’t forget to check out Lindsey, Julia and Trudee’s Take Two!!  Have a great day!! :)
