I’m back…
Hi everybody. I’m back…for the most part.
My son (seven) had neurosurgery last Friday. Considering what he’s been through, he is doing remarkably well. He’s still a little wobbly on his feet and still experiencing some pretty bad headaches, but those should subside within the next two weeks.
Coming home has been both good and bad. I think he had a level of security in the hospital with everyone checking on him so often and Mom and Dad at his side pretty much 24 hours a day for four days. He’s now afraid he’ll fall out of bed, and he wants one of us to sleep with him in his room. After three nights of sleeping on a bench about 20 inches wide, I was really hoping to enjoy the comfort of my own bed last night, but that was not to be. I couldn’t leave him by himself. Hopefully tonight will go a little more smoothly.
I’ll be back into the swing of things soon! Tomorrow I’ll have a couple sneak peeks for the new My Favorite Things mini set to be released September 1st. Thanks for checking in! Hugs!

Hope that your son is on the mend and that you get some better sleep tonight! Lots of prayers and positive thoughts for you and your family.
Gosh, Michele, I hope everything’s all right. That must have been pretty scary for you, wasn’t it? Poor little guy! Gee, don’t worry about anything else right now.
Good to hear everything went well, Michele — I was asking about you! Hope DS continues to recover well and gets back into the swing of things.
Hugs,
Glad to hear that you son is home, means he is mending, and hope you get a good night’s sleep soon.
I’m a pediatric surgical nurse and have seen these surgeries too many times. My little boy is 6 and I can’t imagine having to go through this with my own. I hope he gets well really soon!
I have been wondering about you and your son. I’m so glad everything is going well. My sister’s surgery went well, too. (I think these things are almost as hard on the caregiver as the patient!)
You are still in my prayers.
Hugs!!
Sending positive thoughts for a speedy recovery for the entire family. Poor little guy! HUGS to all.
OMGoodness. I am glad your son is back and your family is in my thoughts and prayers. You are so strong I know I have had some really hard times with my son ( I almost lost him 3 times now) and I know how strong you have to be. Please take care.
Michelle, so glad to hear that your son is recuperating nicely. I have you and your family in my prayers. You take care of your family and then you can concentrate on other things, like stamping…
Hugs,
Pinky
Oh wow — what a scary time it must have been for you! I’ll keep all of you in my prayers. Just take care of your son and yourself — the stamping can wait a little while…
I hope he’s doing all right — hugs to you!
So glad to hear that your son is recovering well…how scary for a little guy to have to endure. Take care and I’ll be thinking of you and your family.
Michele, I’m glad your son is home and doing well. Have you tried side bed rails? Maybe that would make him feel more secure? Prayers and good wishes to you and your family.
Great News Michele!! I’m so glad everything went well and your home!! Big Hugs to you and your family.
That is such great news Michele! I was wondering how he was doing! I hope he will continue to feel better daily!
Amy
So glad he’s doing well, Michele! I know what you mean–I couldn’t leave mine by himself either, if I were in the same situation. {{{{{{{{{hugs to you and your family}}}}}}}}} You hang in there! You are Wonder Mom!
You’ve been on my mind so much Michele and it finally occurred to me to come check your blog! I hope things have settled in and are going well. You are in my prayers.
