More Shower Time!

Published by Shel9999 at 5:06 pm under My Favorite Things

gw1I needed a ‘get well’ card and since Shower Time, the newest release from My Favorite Things,  was still on my table, that’s what I thought I’d use.  (Plus I really do LOVE this set!)

The layout is from CPS (Card Positioning Systems).     Check out their blog for some great layouts!

I got the idea for the background from a recent challenge on SCS (one of the many in which I didn’t have time to participate…but the idea hung around in the back of my mind.)

I stamped the “Get Well Wishes” first on a square of white cardstock using Apricot ink, then stamped the main image over that.  I stamped the main image three more times…once onto white cardstock (for the neck and arms, which I colored then cut out as one piece), once onto the dotted paper for the shirt and one more time onto the floral paper for the umbrella (which is popped up on dimensionals).

The “Get Well Wishes” is one of the many sentiments from Sassy Sayings by MFT.

One more note of interest from MFT…also now available is the new My Favorite 48, a package of 48 hand-selected Prismacolor pencils and other goodies.  And for the month of September, if you purchase the My Favorite 48, you will automatically be upgraded to the My Favorite 48 PLUS which includes Shower Time for free!  It’s a sweet deal!  Check it out here.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink white, SU Black     Patterned Paper:  SU Prints Sampler     Stamps:  My Favorite Things “Shower Time” and “Sassy Sayings”     Ink:  Brilliance Graphite Black, SU Apricot Appeal     Accessories:  Copic marker (skin), black brads, dimensionals.  Finished card size 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.
