Seasons Greetings

SGWLBG

So here’s the reindeer sporting his ornaments!  This new Winterland stamp set by Basic Grey is so much fun!

I first stamped the deer in Chocolate Chip, then added the ornaments using Bravo Burgundy and Purely Pomegranate.  I drew in the little string hangers with a Chocolate Chip marker.

The patterned paper is from Basic Grey’s Figgy 6″x 6″ paper pad.  I cut the edges of the striped pattern with a ‘pinking’ blade in my Fiskar’s rotary trimmer.  Let me tell you…I do like this trimmer.  I’m still trying to get used to it though.  (I miss the ruler down the cutting side.)  Word of warning:  when switching those blades, BE CAREFUL!  Those babies are sharp!  If you aren’t careful, you could end up with a nice little wavy cut in your thumb like mine!  But it is VERY nice to finally be able to get some straight, square cuts.  (Thanks so much, Patricia!)

So I attached the dotted paper, then zig-zag stitched around the edges.  I know you can’t see that very well in the photo.  The “Seasons Greetings” is a Cosmo Cricket rub-on (which is actually easier to read in person than it appears in this picture).  Cosmo Cricket has some of THE nicest rub-ons I’ve tried.  They’re wonderful!  So easy to apply!

Thanks for stopping by!!  Note the reminders below!
