A Little Lucky

Published by Shel9999 under C.C. Designs, My Designs

MCLWhew, what a weekend I’ve had…actually, it all extended into Monday as there was no school and it was my son’s birthday.  I did manage to have a *bit* of time to myself to stamp this quick little card.

Lucky’s Christmas Wish is one of two new sets by C.C. Design’s available tomorrow from All That Scraps.  Today Lucky is peeking around the tree to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

I first stamped the tree, masked it with a post-it, then stamped Lucky. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get him in just the right spot.  (I used the SAMJ to split and place the sentiment as well.)  After I colored the images, I decided to pop up the tree, so I stamped it again, colored and cut it out, adding some Dazzling Diamonds glitter using a Quickie Glue Pen.  (I added some white Fun Flock to Lucky’s hat again too.  I like that added touch and since there’s so much in that little jar, I might as well use it every chance I can!)

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Hey Sugar–Take Two

Published by Shel9999 under My Designs, Stampin' Up!

WWPP

Sugar sugar, honey honey…I cannot get that song out of my head now.  Aaaaaah!

Lindsey, Trudee, Julia and I decided to do a Take Two this time using Cosmo Cricket’s new Hey Sugar line and any flower stamps.  I thought I should look in my Stampin’ Up sets since it’s been eons since I’ve used one of them.  I first gravitated toward my beloved Petal Prints, but then I thought “No, you WILL use Pick a Petal.  You bought it, you HAVE to use it.”  So I did.  (At least now I can say I’ve used it twice.  I’m not a big fan of this set, but when I first saw it, I “had” to have it.)

I stamped the petals directly onto the patterned paper, cut them out and arranged them on the back side of another pattern from the collection.  I wanted a couple of the petals to extend “outside of the box” (just because I like to do that) and the flower center is raised on a dimensional.  There isn’t really much more to say about this card.  It’s a bit busy, but I think I like it.

Don’t forget to pop on over to see what Julia, Lindsey and Trudee have come up with!  I can’t wait to see for myself!  (And for a little enabling, Lindsey has about 200  items in her store at 20% off until Monday…just fyi.)

Also, my good buddy, Dee, is having a blog give-away.   Click here, scroll down just a bit and you’ll see it!!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!!

Meet Lucky and Lulu!

Published by Shel9999 under C.C. Designs, My Designs

Happy McThursday!  :)  I have some new stamps that will soon be available from All That Scraps.

           M5001

On November 7th, C.C. Designs will release two new sets, Lucky’s Christmas Wish and Lulu’s Sweet Delights.   The sets will be available either wood mounted or EZ Foam mounted (my preference) so either way, they’re ready to go once they’re in your hand!  AND there could be a new release from this line each month!

Meet Lucky.  (He’s my favorite! Too cute!)   I colored him with SU markers then added some white Fun Flock to his hat trim and pom-pom.  (A Quickie Glue Pen makes this soooo easy!)  His eyes and nose are colored in with a 3-d black gel pen.   He has to have a shiny nose, right?  The gifts are raised on dimensionals. I used part of the sentiment “Merry Christmas” on the front of the card then included the full saying inside.

This is Lulu. She’s been into the candy canes so she’s ALL sticky.  I colored her with SU ink then added a bit of paper glaze to her mouth, face and the candy canes.  The hanging candies are secured to the card with bits of dimensionals.   A 3-d black gel pen adds a bit of shine to her eyes and nose.  The string, brads and ribbon were all colored with a Strong Red Copic and the main image panel is adhered to the card front with dimensionals.
