Sincere Thanks

Published by Shel9999 at 12:32 am under Cornish Heritage Farms, My Designs

Hello!  I hope you are all having a nice weekend!  I’ve been trying to get caught up on some DT work and a few other things, but I wanted to take the time to make a special thank you card for my in-laws.  They are so very generous, but more important than that, they are very special people and I feel very lucky to have them in my life.  They live in Arizona, so I tried to make this card a bit southwestern-ish.

STAZ

I don’t know what type of flower this is, but I thought it looked like a hot weather plant (lol).  I pulled the colors from the patterned paper, using SU markers directly on the stamps.   I stamped multiple times before re-inking, added a lot of sponging and then added the little scattered faux stitches.   All stamps are by Cornish Heritage Farms.

Thanks so much for looking!  Enjoy the rest of the weekend!  :)

Cardstock:  SU Chocolate Chip, Naturals Ivory    Patterned Paper:  SU Outlaw DSP    Stamps:  Silhouette Blooms II (Kim Hughes Collection, CHF); Beautiful (The Rummage Bin, CHF), Canvas Backgrounder (CHF)   Ink:  SU Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa; Ranger Walnut Distress   Accessories:  SU markers in Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Creamy Caramel and Sage Shadow; mat pack/needle; linen thread; mm antique copper brads; pop dots; sponge.  Card size 5 ½” x 4 ¼”.

did you actually stitch on the sides of the matt or did you draw that on? This is so pretty-my kind of colors-earthy. I added this card to my lust file in Reader.

Really pretty card. I always think that DP leans toward a more masculine card but this is definitely pretty. I love the look. TFS

This is gorgeous, Michele! I love this earthy look with flowers and I know your in-laws will love it, too. Funny, but those do look like hot weather flowers! Okay, I’ve scrolled through and looked at all your totally fabulous cards you’ve posted since my last visit–you wow me every time! I have to go work now, though, darn it. I sure would like to stamp right this very minute instead because you’ve inspired me immensely! Gee, thanks a lot, Michele…
