Scrapblocks™…This Way, That Way

Published by Michele Boyer at 12:01 am under Cornish Heritage Farms, My Designs

I’ve been playing more with the new 6″ x 6″ Scrapblocks™ being released next Tuesday (June 3rd) by Cornish Heritage Farms.  There are so many great ways to use them.  I wanted to show how they can be used for portrait AND landscape oriented cards.

America the Beautiful

CHFOFP

Here, I used the “Writing Paper” Scrapblock™ in a landscape format, carefully coloring the stamp by dragging a corner of the red and blue stamp pads across the lines.

The eagle, flag and sentiment are from “America the Beautiful” and the branches are from “U R A Hoot,” both from the Kim Hughes Collection at CHF.

The images were stamped, colored and cut out.  The flag and sign were tied onto the branches with string I colored using a brown  Copic marker.

Cardstock:  Prism Super Smooth White, Classic Red and Island Mist Dark   Stamps:  Cornish Heritage Farms: “America the Beautiful,” “U R A Hoot,” “Writing Paper” Scrapblock™   Ink:  Ranger Adirondack Pitch Black, Red Pepper and Stream   Accessories:  Copic markers, white string, Making Memories mini star brads.  Card size 5” x 5”.

F is for Father

FFSB4

Here I used the “Writing Paper” Scrapblock™ again but in a portrait orientation.  I added some stamped-off swirls and sponged the edges, using Denim ink for all.

The “F is for” and “father” are from “For the Men” and the swirls are from “Beautiful,” both from The Rummage Bin line at CHF.

Cardstock:  Prism Stormy Dark & Light, Natural Smooth   Stamps:  Cornish Heritage Farms “For the Men,” “Beautiful,” “Writing Paper” Scrapblock™   Ink:  Ranger Adirondack Denim    Accessories:  We R Memory Keepers Pewter hardware, sponge.  Card size 5” x 5”.

Having the option of stamping in either direction is just one of the (many) things I like about these new 6″ x 6″ Scrapblocks™.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

LOVE the way you got the red and blue writing lines on the scrapblock! was that hard to do? does the ink want to dry? And isn’t that a big area to “huff” on, if you use your breath to keep the ink moist??? hmmm….
