Take Two…it’s been a while

Published by Shel9999 at 9:52 am under Lizzie Anne Designs, My Designs

It’s been a LONG time since Lindsey, Trudee, Julia and I have done one of our Take Two challenges.  (I actually can’t even remember what or when the last one was!)  This time we each have chosen any Lizzie Anne Designs stamp set and any Basic Grey patterned paper.

The patterned paper and all embellishments I used here can be found at Jacksonbelle Embellishments.

I chose LAD’s By the Sea and Basic Grey’s Boxer 6″ x 6″ paper pad.   (Dee made me buy it.  It’s her fault. I was really trying to resist.)

The little crabs and sentiment are all embossed.  I discovered that the Adirondack Pitch Black ink (which is fantastic for coloring with Copics) dries pretty quickly, but if you dump clear ep on as soon as you stamp, it embosses very nicely.  (Maybe all inks do that? I don’t know…I just tried it here.)

MASCU2For added interest, I applied Waterfall, Fruit Punch and Lime Green Stickles to the mermaid, “Mens” Dew Drops in the corner, and I cut out and popped up the stars (using a rolled glue dot under each).

I used my “wave” blade in my Fiskar’s Rotary Trimmer to simulate the water and sponged the edges using Denim ink.

I’m off to check out the other cards!  (We don’t give sneak peeks.)  Have a great day!
