It’s a Wrap!

Happy Sunday!  I don’t know about where you live, but it is disgustingly hot and humid here.  99 fun-lovin’ degrees for a high today.  Even with a slight breeze, it is NASTY.  It’ll be no better tomorrow and one of my children has an ice cream social/picnic at school in the afternoon.  THAT should be fun.

Why Not?

Well, today wraps up the Kim Hughes Blitz at Cornish Heritage Farms.  The last challenge is to combine any Kim Hughes stamp set with another line at CHF…Scrapblocks™, Mona Lisa Moments, The Rummage Bin, just to name a few.

For this card, I actually chose the sentiment first.  This is one of my favorites from the Motivational Centers set (Mona Lisa Moments).  I then flipped through my Kim Hughes sets to choose an image.  The skateboard idea popped into my head so next I thought about which of the images would look best and which ones I could most easily manipulate.  This little bird from the Pretty Birds set was it!  (The “skateboard” is part of Kim’s new Baby Love set.)

I inked the bird stamp, omitting the one leg and wing.  I stamped the bird a second time onto white cardstock, colored and cut out the wing, adhering it in the new position with a pop dot.  I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the second leg extended in front of the bird.  So there he is… rolling along.  And why not? :)

If you’d like to play in the challenge (and have a chance to win one of two free Kim Hughes stamp sets), check out the challenge thread here.  Have a great day!  (And stay cool!)  Thanks so much for visiting!
