A Quickie Chicky Celebration
TGIF! And it’s the last day of school with an early release. My kids are ECSTATIC. They’ve been ready for summer break for at least three weeks. :) The only plan we have for the summer is a trip to Chicago next month. We’ll visit relatives along with CHA for me. I’m looking forward to both! Can’t wait!!!
I made this card a couple weeks ago for a good friend for her birthday. I love these Calendar Chicks by Stampendous. They’re so much fun! (I got mine here.)
I colored the image using Copic markers, then added a tiny white brad in the center of each flower on the gifts. The white dots across the brown strip were made using a white gel pen and the scalloped edge was cut using my Fiskars Rotary Trimmer. The sentiment is from the Birthday Centers set from Mona Lisa Moments (at Cornish Heritage Farms). And the patterned paper is Basic Grey Sultry (which you might be able to win by commenting here.)
I’m off to get as much done as I can before school. I want to enjoy my last three hours of peace and quiet. (I may not even turn on the radio…I want to enjoy the quiet blowing of the fan while I can hear it.) :) Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

YAY for your 3 hours of silence…..I won’t call you then lol.
Can’t wait to see what you do next!
That chick is just too cute. Yesterday’s Craft Critique reviewed a velvet flocking that would make that little chickie soft and cuddly. And, I think CHF may carry it.
The coloring is so vibrant and coordinates perfectly with your papers … wonderful card.
Love it! I’m crazy for the chicks!! TFS! XO, Mimi
