A Patriotic Tribute

Published by Shel9999 at 12:02 am under Cornish Heritage Farms, My Designs

Happy Fourth of July to all of my American friends!!

I’ve been saving this card to post today.  It’s one of my first attempts at coloring a Thomas Kinkade image (available from Cornish Heritage Farms).  It’s not perfect, but I’m trying!

Land of the Free

LOTF3

I used Prismacolor pencils to color this image.  After trying Copic markers, I have to say the Copics are my favorite so far.  (I’ve yet to try pastels.)

To make the “photo” corners, I cut a square, then cut from corner to corner (forming two triangles).   I then used my paper cutter to cut out the notch from each triangle.  Lastly, I sponged the edges.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you all have a very fun and very safe holiday!

(If you feel like a little shopping, there’s a 20% off of everything sale at Jacksonbelle Embellishments through Monday.  Use this code at checkout:  fourth.)

Cardstock:  Prism Nautical Blue Dark, Stormy Medium, Natural Smooth   Stamps:  Cornish Heritage Farms “Hometown Pride” (Thomas Kinkade), “Land of the Free” and “Canvas” Backgrounder   Ink:  Stazon Jet Black, Adirondack Slate and Denim   Accessories:  Prismacolor Pencils/Weber Turpenoid Natural, star brads (Making Memories), sponge.  Card size 5 ½” x 5 ½”.
