Just for Fun 4
It’s time for another Just for Fun challenge with my friend, Carole. This month I sent along a couple sheets from Daisy D’s Chloe Marie. I actually sent Carole two different papers from the pack but you only see one here. That’s because I wasted the other sheet. So I used a dark blue cardstock in it’s place. (Sorry about that, Carole.) In honor of “Back to School,” Carole chose Stamping Bella’s Teachabella.
It seems the schools have made the move to wipe boards as opposed to black boards (around here, anyway). I suppose black boards are a thing of the past? And so in keeping with the times, I’ve decided the board in this image is white and not black. On this board on the actual image are the letters “ABC” but I’ve used what I feel to be a more appropriate sentiment (from Classic Essential Expressions by Cornish Heritage Farms).
Please do not misunderstand me, I love my children more than anything, but after a long summer (and you could say ours has been a bit stressful), it is time to go back to school. I will not cry. I will not do cartwheels on the way home from the bus stop (not that I’ve thought about that or anything), but I will come home and listen to the house fan I’ve missed for the past two and a half months. (And I’ll worry about how they’re doing.)
Be sure to check out Carole’s project. That’s what she likes to call her work… “projects.” ;) I can’t wait to see it! Have a SUPER day!

This is so sweet! Love your coloring and that’s interesting about the wipe boards. Our schools still have black boards BUT they have a smart board too. Crazy!
I LOVE the layout, stitching, coloring, paper — all of it!
And, I know what you mean about the kids being gone — it’s so nice to be able to BREATHE, isn’t it?
Love it!! Cute images and coloring!
Love this!!!
I love this Michelle! I have no kids in school anymore and I am even breathing a sigh of relief!! No more dirt bikes and 4 wheelers racing around up and down our hills doing what we used to do to bug the neighbours!! —ACKKKK!!…… I am sounding so old!!!!
Fantastic….did you and Carole talk about the coordinating blouses on your teachers??? lol! Love it!
Soooo cute and classy, Michele! This looks so crisp and fresh with the bright green and navy (love that apple and those brads!). Doesn’t look nearly as crazy as mine — tough to combine two patterns with such a tiny image. Oh. Wait a minute. It appears you skipped that part… LOL! I will refrain from chanting ‘Cheater Cheater Pumpkin Eater’ since you’ve had a tough couple of weeks. Yeah, I’m sweet that way… BTW, I’m hoping your teacher is wearing some sort of bottoms. Unless you’re going for a Mary-Kay-Letourneau vibe… hee!
Very classy.
I love it!
love it- I hope you had a peaceful day!
OMGOSH this is sooooo cute! I LOOOOOOOVE the colors you used! So darling!!!!!
too cute! i’m with carole and hope she is wearing something underneath that table! must be a mini skirt! anyway, i love seeing yours and carole’s little challenges. sounds like fun!!
I love your Bella, and how you’ve changed the blackboard to a dry erase board! Love the pretty papers and your sewing too!!
I am with you on the kids and school. I still have a four-year-old at home, so it’s not totally quiet.
Awesome card! Love it!
