Twas the Night before Christmas, TK Style

Published by Michele Boyer at 6:45 am under Cornish Heritage Farms, My Designs

Ready for a new Thomas Kinkade release?  Next Wednesday, September 17th, Cornish Heritage Farms will release The Night Before Christmas along with the corresponding sentiment.

Since I *love* Ranger Distress inks, I’ve been wanting to try this Distress Ink Burnt Edge technique.  I ended up combining it with the Vintage Photo Tinting technique.  (Wow…two techniques in one and I’m not even a “technique” person.)  I didn’t totally stick by the rules though.  I had to improvise a bit on the inks as I don’t have all of them…yet and this doesn’t really look like the actual technique samples, but I’ll try again.  (In poking around looking for these techniques, I found this thread with some great info on distress inks.)

Am I happy with how this turned out?  I LOVE the look of the Aged Sheet Music Scrapblock™ background.  I hated to cover so much of it.   The focal point was hard to photograph…another one of those “nicer in person” images.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Hi, Michele! If you’d like, I could critique it in person…you know my address. Seriously, this is beyond gorgeous! Beautiful subtle coloring and the vintage look I love. I just jotted down a reminder for the Vintage Music Scrapblock. I see things I love and then forget about them. But I simply MUST have this stamp! Thanks for sharing such a beautiful card!
