Let’s Just Say it Like it Is

Published by Shel9999 at 8:22 pm under My Designs, Say it Like it Is, This and That

Welcome to my first ”Say it Like it Is” Saturday!    I’ve decided to periodically post some silly, maybe a bit rude, slightly obnoxious but totally honest projects just for fun.  (Don’t worry…I won’t be too bad.)

For the past two weeks, I’ve been totally immersed in the Stephanie Meyer Twilight series.  I don’t usually seek books about vampires and werewolves.  When my friend first mentioned this saga I just smiled, nodded and thought “ok…you go right ahead and read about your monsters and I’ll stick to David Baldacci.”  But I was in need of a good book and I thought, “Eh, what the heck.  Let’s see what’s so intriguing here.”  Wow, is my interest ever piqued.  I’ve just begun the third book, Eclipse, and like the first two, I have a hard time putting it down once I have it in my hands.  I am thoroughly enjoying these characters, their differences and (as much as each would deny) their similarities.

I’m not Listening

 Temp Remove

So here I am, reading my book, my favorite latte by my side.  If someone talks, do I see lips moving?  Only if I have to.  Am I listening?  Not unless it’s something REALLY important.  Is the house on fire?  Did your brother cut off your head?  No?  Well then, carry on.  (Ok…I’m exaggerating…a bit, but you get my point.)

I do love a good read and the Twilight series is outstanding.  Definately one of those I will hate to see end.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope your weekend is wonderful! :)

Okay, that just makes me laugh!!! Every once in a while when my boys bickering gets really bad, I ask them if anyone is dead. If not, I don’t want to hear it! :-) If “Julia’s” hair was blonde, I’d think it was me on this card! Thanks for the fun!!

Oh, Michele! This is the greatest idea ever!!! I just wish I’d thought of it! You know I’m a huge supporter of saying it like it is, and with that combined with your artistry?! I’m going to be waiting with baited breath to see what you do on Saturdays!!! You’re really making me want to bring back Freaky Fridays, btw… ;)

And I’m the same way when I’m into a good book! Right now, it’s ‘Oh The Glory of It All’ by Sean Wilsey. Sooo awesome! I’ve resisted the Twilight series so far, but if you say I must… LOVE this card, girlfriend!!!

I love it! Sometimes the sassy stuff people don’t want to post for fear of offending someone. This is going to be so cool!

I adore this M!!! SO beautiful! I’ve been dying for that stamp for months. Every time to go to EP they’re out! :(

I love this!! Beautiful colors, and I love the flourish! Great image and sentiment — if she had stamps and ink in her hands, that would be perfect, too! ;)

Oh my gosh! I’m on Book 2 of the series and am loving it! I know just how you feel … leave me alone when I’m reading!

    Great card!

Your card is great, and I completely feel the same about just needing some time for the house to fall apart while I am reading a good book series. The Twilight Series is terrific, I too read the whole series in a very short time frame then I had to wait for the last book to come out, but is was great too, and I read it in one day.

OMGosh I read all 4 of the books in one week they were so good I couldn’t put them down…lol! Fabulous card Michele, that was me the week I read them…lol!!

I just read the series myself….. I was never really interested in it and then I noticed there was a moving being made… So what the H*&&… I thought I would pick up the first book to see what it was all about and POW…. I read them all in less than a week - while preparing to throw a party for 50+ people… Fantastic books - I was a little worried with the second one… I struggled with it a little but once you read on you understand the reason for book 2… I wonder if there will be more to the series????

Some said the Southern Vampire series is really good - the first one is what HBO’s First Blook is based on… Auther charliene harris… I bought 5 of those to take on vacation next week!!!

Ok, so I’m not seeing the cute card! But I’ve finished the Twilight series and can’t wait to see what you think when you’re done! Did you know the movie “Twilight” will be released in a couple of months!!?? It will definitely be a girls night out here!!
