“Spooky Mouse” Fun
Happy Tuesday, everyone! I’ve been playing with one of my most recent “investments,” my square Nestabilities. I love these things. I made the mistake last time of buying only one set of the rectangles, but you know, I just couldn’t fork out the money not knowing if I’d like them…or use them. But I do like them so this time I bought the whole set of squares. Next on my list…ovals…or maybe the circles, I can’t decide.
Happy Halloween
It seems the embossed edge around the white square isn’t showing well here, but it is very much there. I guess this little Inkadinkado mouse thinks he’s looking pretty scary (at least I *think* it’s a mouse). I’m wondering where he found a carrot small enough to pass for his nose. :) This image comes as part of a clear stamp set or singly as rubber on wood. Even though overall I do prefer rubber stamps, I had to go for the clear set because I couldn’t resist the other critters. You can see them here. (You might be able to find this set at Jacksonbelle Embellishments, AC Moore or Michaels.)
Fyi–I’ve added another blog to my blog list. This is a new one started by Crissy Armstrong. Her coloring is a-MAZ-ing so if you have a minute, check it out! You will be impressed! Crissy tagged me which means I’m supposed to list seven facts about myself and then tag seven more people. Since almost everyone I know has been tagged though, I’ll leave that open so if you want to share some facts about yourself, please do and come back and let me know.
1. My absolute favorite food is steamed crabs. My family can’t stand to watch me eat them but that just makes it even more fun. (It is rather barbaric if I think about it…but I don’t. I just eat. And I don’t talk. Eating crabs is serious business.)
2. I love to read. Once I start a good book, I have a hard time forcing myself to do the things that need to be done. Not having huge blocks of time has been torturous with this Twilight series. (I’ve just started the fourth book.)
3. I love sarcasm.
4. I don’t have a favorite movie because I always fall asleep and awaken in time to see the credits.
5. I’m big fan of reality tv. **shrugging shoulders**
6. I’m very quiet and prefer to be an observer. I hate being the center of attention and am horrible even with small talk. (Sometimes I struggle with what to say here in my blog.)
7. I am 5′ 7″. Apparently a lot of people, for some reason, think I’m short. I am not.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

I love that mouse in a ghost costume! So cute! And you did a great job featuring him on your cute card too!~ Love what you did with the nestabilities. I am thinking of investing. Thanks for sharing. I do see the embossed edge on the main panel. Its faint in the photo but its there! I just love your cards and think you are so talented! I love your style Michelle, always have.
Thanks for telling pple about my new blog! I can’t believe I’m actually doing one… never thought I would have time! It is rather fun though, now that I’m into it!
Thanks also for playing tag with me! Steamed crab? I don’t think I’ve ever tried that. I love crab in a salad so I might like that too!
Thanks for all your sweet comments on my cards too!
Hugs,
Crissy
That’s such a precious little mouse! I have him, but haven’t used him yet! I love the combination of oranges that you used with him and how you layered the Nesties! Ha! Very interesting facts. For a minute I thought you were talking about me!!
This is so cute! I love this Inka set-you’re right, there is no way to resist the other images! I love how you offset the layers of nesties…looks fantastic!
Love crab-but I get the barbaric part-I’d just have to close my eyes and eat!
And dang, you are tall! I’m jealous-at only 5′2″ I am always the shortest, unless I am with my kids, but they are catching up quick!
Have a great day!
What a cute card!
This little mouse (are you sure it’s a mouse?) is so very scary! Thanks for sharing your fun facts. We just came home from the east coast and yummo, the CRAB was huge and buttery and awesome!! …….sorry….. It’s not in season, but they manage to find some somewhere! I detest being the center of attention! I just turned 50 and I threatened my family with DEATH (honestly) if they even thought about throwing me a party……….thank goodness they listened. I would miss them.
I love what you’ve done with this little mouse, yes mouse, image! At least I feel pretty certain it is a rodent of some sort- I just think that is fitting with the 2 cat stamps in that set (great minds- I usually prefer rubber too but I had to have all the critters)! Your colors are incredible and the black you used as contrast is great!
Your card is super cute!! It was nice getting to know you a little better…I am 5′7” too, but people always talk about how tall I am??
What a lovely little mouse image, the card you’ve created using it, is so lovely. Loving the colours you’ve used. Hugs Linda x
What a great card! I love the way you nested the Nestabilities squares - very unique. Thanks for sharing your “fun facts,” too.
Adorable card!
Gosh! Another adorable image! This is so stinkin cute! That’s what I love most about your cards! They are just adorable and have such character! Best, Curt
What an adorable little mouse.. ghost. Hadn’t thought about the carrot, but you ask a good question. lol Fun card, Michele.
This is super cute, Michele!! I love that little mouse all dressed up for Halloween…and I loved reading your facts too!! It’s good to know you better!!
This is adorable — that mouse cracks me up!
Thanks for sharing a little bit about you! FYI — I AM short (5′2”)
