Stella Goes Creepy
Wow…I never thought I’d use Basic Grey’s Stella Ruby like this. And I think I may have given new meaning to this sentiment. Eek! Tomorrow brings the release of Spider Web and Spider from Cornish Heritage Farms. I’ll admit I had a hard time using the spider. I hate spiders. And this might be the creepiest spider stamp I’ve ever seen. WAY too realistic.
You’re Not Alone
I stamped everything directly onto the patterned paper, going over the web and spider with a clear 3-d gel pen.
I sponged all the edges, then brushed the ink pad across all edges.
Is this not the ickiest thing you’ve ever seen? I just want to squish it. Or scream and run. lol.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

I was thinking maybe throw it out the back door and you run out the front! It is definitely icky! Way too realistic for me! On the other hand, when I get past the spider, the card is gorgeous! I love Stella!
Excellent, excellent!!
Yeah, that is a bit creepy and I KNOW you have spiders that look like that because we DO and they are gross!!! I do love EVERYTHING else though!!! LOL!!!!
Ewwww! Yuck! Gorgeous card… yucky spider. Can you imagine opening an envelope and pulling that out???? I’d drop it and scream!!!
Great Halloween trick, though.

Ewwwww, cool but , ewwwww.
I am rolling - I mean rolling… Wonderful job with the spider and the Stella Ruby. The card is great, even if the spider is..well, realistic!
The card is very cool. The spider IS NOT.
Wow! I love this! Can a spooky spider card be stunning too? I think so.
Jane
This is gorgeous M! You’ve put a whole new spin on that spider! It kind of reminds of me of Charlotte’s Web!
Great-cool to stamp direct on that pretty paper-neat look. tfs
I seriously got the shivers just looking at it! LOL. Cute card.
You are amazing. Truly! You can even make an icky spider seem elegant! Color me in awe!
Oh my gosh — that spider is WAY too lifelike for me — LOL!!! And I never did think of Stella as creepy, until now!!! You have done a wonderful job making some gorgeous paper rather creepy — and blending all these various stamps together — GREAT JOB!!!
Oh my gosh Michele this is too creepy for me, I’m terrified of spiders! I can’t get over how realistic that spider is, I don’t think I could use that stamp. Oh those blasted creatures just scare the heck out of me. We had spiders just like this when I was a little girl, they were brown and huge, the size of large oranges. We live in Florida and back in the 60’s we didn’t have a pest control man that came around and sprayed for pests. About every month or so one of those huge spiders would get in our house. My mom had to kill them because me, my dad, and my brother were hopping up on chairs or running out the door to get as far away from it as we could.
Well…your card is gorgeous, minus the spider!! I agree that it looks way too real, but it’s perfect for the season. Ooh, ooh, ooh, ah, ah, ah!!
What a beautiful card. Never thought I would say that with spiders on it! Just lovely!
I am blown away by this card. I just sat there and looked at it with my mouth open! This card truly has a shock value! This gorgeous card with traditional looking flowers and then BAM! the spider and the sentiment gives you chills! What a FABULOUS card! BRAVO! Best, Curt
OMGosh how very creepy!!!!! Fabulous card Michele!!
Yup, it’s creepy, alright! But you know what’s really creepy is the sentiment. It gives me chills! I’m not kidding. It’s after midnight here and I think I hear noises outside. Dang it, Michele! You spooked me! Neverthless, I totally LOVE the card. Stella looks good with everything and the layout is fantastic. Okay, I’m going to bed now and hope I have pleasant dreams…
