EEK!

I don’t know about you but I always have a hard time using small images. What to do besides make a small card?  I thought I’d challenge myself to use a set that has small images but keep the cards standard size.  I used Spooky Expressions by Whipper Snapper Designs.  (I just love Anna’s sets!)  :)

This is what I’d do if I saw a bunch of spiders hanging around me (or even one)…grab a broom (or whatever I could get my hands on) and swat them away (actually, I’d beat them to death).  Ick.  I hate spiders.  I’m fine with them outside as long as they aren’t near me. But in the house…that’s something else.

I’m not quite sure why, but I like this card better than the first.  (I put the other one first because everyone else in my house liked that one better. **shrugging shoulders**) 

BCPCU3You can see in this close-up that I actually masked part of the tail so it looks like the tail loops through the ‘o’.  (It’s a detail that I’m sure noone else would ever notice, but *I* know it’s there and I like it.)  :)

So which do you like better?  The ghost or the cat?

    I like the humor of the first but the layout and papers of the second are also great. Wonderful cards.

    I love the first one - maybe it’s the colours - also the very clever use of the small stamps.

    I really like both of them. The first one is quite clever and I really like the color combo while the second one is just very pleasing to the eye. So, they both get my vote. (I hate spiders, too, and we had an over-abundance of them this summer.)

    SO cute, Michele ! I always love your Halloween cards! I love ‘em both, but I think the second is my favorite! The cat’s tail is a great detail — I DID notice it! :)

    Both cards are cute Michele. If I had to chose, well, I’d go with the cat. I like cats but not spiders! Even to look at them is creepy! lol

    Both are cute. I like how you positioned the ghost and the spiders on the first card but like the colors of the second card best. tfs

    I loved both of them but if I had to pick one, Id pick the first one. I guess the colors are cool for Halloween and the shading is really good. Love your work.

    Wow, both cards are adorable! I have to say that I REALLY love the 2nd card…the colors, the ribbon, and the cat tail through the “o!” Toooooo stinkin’ cute!

    Oh for goodness sakes! You’re making us choose?? I think they’re both adorable and I love the scene you created on the first one, but I’d have to choose the second, because I love the cheesy grinning cat, the layout and the background paper.
