Huh?….Just Sayin’ Saturday
Guess what? I found a stamp with a saying on it that I use every single day…many times a day. In fact, I use it so often that my children say it as well (and it has brought on a few snickers when said to other adults…if you can image a six-year old asking an adult “Are you serious?”).
Are You Serious?
I recently purchased some goodies from Stamping Bella and Chatty Cathy here was among them. The sentiment :) is by Starving Artiststamps.
So let’s pretend this is me on the phone with my husband.
(insert normal conversation…blah, blah, blah)
Him: So I decided what I want for my birthday.
Me: Oh?! What? (I’m thinking “YAY!” This man is so difficult to buy for. Finally an idea!)
Him: I want “Guitar Hero World Tour.”
Me: silence
Him: Hello?
Me: Yes?
Him: Are you there?
Me: Yes.
Him: Did you hear what I said?
Me: Yes.
Him: That’s what I want.
Me: Are you serious? (This man doesn’t really have time to play video games and the last thing I can picture him doing is standing in our family room with a guitar in his hands…night after night learning to play “Freak on a Leash” and “Hot for Teacher”. Actually, he’s more of a “Hotel California” kind of guy…which I can handle.)
Him: Yeah! I looked at the song list and that’s what I want.
Me: (deep breath)…..ok…..
So, I found this Guitar Hero World Tour. It’s in a closet awaiting the big day. Heaven help me. I should at least be grateful that he didn’t want the “bundle” which comes with drums and a microphone. He did ask for an extra guitar though. Hopefully he’s thinking that is for our son and not me. (Watch me try it and like it.
)
Thanks so much for stopping by! I won’t have a Just Sayin Saturday next week. I’ll be out of town for a while, most likely with no access to a computer.
(lol) But in the meantime, I have a few things I’ll “pre-post” here and there. Have a great weekend…and week to follow! I’ll be back “live” after the 10th!

Michele, first I must say the card is GORGEOUS (as always). You rock, you’re awesome… blah blah blah. Are you tired of hearing that from me yet? LOL
Oh, and I love that sentiment too. I haven’t seen it on the site. If you have a spare moment, will you send me a link?
OK, now on to Guitar Hero… We (my husband) has Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero Aerosmith, Rock Band and Rock Band II. I am SURE we will soon be the owners of World Tour. LOL It really is fine. You should try it! Make sure you get TWO guitars.
You’ll feel like a dork and you’ll probably be horrible at first, but it’s a fun thing to do when the kids go to bed (or as a family when they are awake).
My 8 year old blows me out of the water, but I am happy to report that I am now on MEDIUM! LMAO Try it!
LOL on your conversation! The “bundle” and “more” will come next I’m sure!
Your card is soooo cute! OMGosh I love her outfit…awesome paper and ribbon too, love this!
That sentiment is awesome! I say it all the time as well. I may just have to pick that one up!
This is so great! I think that is a common phrase among many households!! Guitar Hero…sounds fun…I love this card, great colors and I love her dress! So pretty, thanks for sharing.
Chuckle, chuckle.. you think the game will cause havic?? Try having a husband who plays the electric guitar, for real!! :-> and expects me to understand chords, notes, “delay” sounds on the instrument!! Seriously though, we’ve come to a compromise… I stamp cards while he practices and we share the same family room… so there you go… we’re both happy… and we consider it ’spending time together’.
Enjoy the game and (probably) the laughs!
Gorgeous card!! Your coloring and paper piecing are perfection — as always!
About Guitar Hero… We have GH2 and Rockband — it’s a riot to watch my teenagers and husband playing together, and my 6-year-old gets in there whenever she can! I’ve yet to try it, even though my son and husband have begged. I think I’m afraid I’ll like it too much — between that and stamping, nothing would get done around here!! You’ll be surprised what a great “family gift” it will be!
Enjoy your time away!
Great card - great sentiment! Enjoy his new present.
LOL…love it Michele! That sentiment is perfect for that stamp!!!!
Oh my gosh, she’s jus fabulous Michele! Love how your outfit coordinates so well with your papers, way too cute!
Love your Chatty Cathy card!! And you will LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE Guitar hero! It’s so addicting…
such a cute card!
as for the Guitar Hero, 2 of my 3 sons and hubby were all playing it this week. yep, a house full of Aerosmith! in fact the Aerosmith version was a b-day gift to hubby - one of his fave presents ever! go figure!
plus we have acoustic & electric guitars in the house….. and the 3 boys are all in band….. and my oldest son is in symphonic choir……. LOTS of music to be had!!!
LMAO! I love what you wrote about your husband. It is so true they still need to hang on to their “youth” somehow! Love the card to go with it too! Great job!
I sooooo need that stamp. LOL Thanks for the chuckle this morning.
Great card, as always, M., and the post CRACKED ME UP!!! Too funny… Hope you’re having fun on vacay, buddy!
I just love Miss Chatty Cathy!! What beautiful papers and Prima lace! What a great sentiment too! LOL….your conversation was too funny! Hopefully you’ll love the game too. I’m sure we’d all love to see some pictures of you guys playing!!!
Oh! And I hope you have a wonderful vacation!
This card is outstanding. Love the girl, her clothes and the saying, of course! I will miss your work when you are vacation. I admit to viewing your blog almost every day…even at the dreaded office sometime. Thank you for the generosity you show with every one of your great ideas. You are gifted.
Gorgeous card! Love it!
We are Guitar Hero junkies here at our house . . . I am seriously dismal at it, but it is a blast to try!!!
That is so funny - men! what can you do!
And that stamp is fantastic!

Warning…….Guitar Hero is SO addictive! My 16 year old is a whiz on the high level…me I’m still on easy!! Baahahahaaaaa!! have fun!!
hahahahahaha I can pretty much guarantee you that if your hubby gets you to try the game you’ll be hooked!! I thought Guitar Hero was the DUMBEST thing ever - then hubby tried it and loved it (and I laughed at him)……then he brought it home and I tried it….needless to say it IS pretty fun - especially when you can get another couple of people and play!!!
This is super cute, Michele!! I love the image, wonderful papers, and fibers!! I love that sentiment and your conversation as well!!
(Sorry about the grammar error on my previous post. I’m sure I do it a lot, but it’s embarrassing when I notice it.)
LOL That is so funny! THanks for the giggle this morning M! This card is sooooooooooooo stunning! I just love your coloring and fabulous detail!!!!
Oh, my gosh, Michele! That’s so funny about Guitar Hero! Wish I could be a little birdie if that other guitar’s for you. Great card! So cool — love the sentiment!
Michele, you continue to crack-me-up! This post the your DH conversation is over the top hilarious! I sure hope we can meet IRL some day!
Hugs,
Amy
LOL! At least he told you what he wanted…my poor hubby gets gift cards all the time!
Anyway, I love your card! Chatty Cathy is such a cutie with her floral skirt and she looks great paired with that dot paper! The pretty pink lace is such a perfect embellishment too!
You sound like ME!!! i’m a hotel california girl myself–it’s my favorited song EVER! and i’m also so NOT a video game girl, but i played guitar hero at my sister’s house and LOVED it!! i’m just sayin’……
