Thanksgiving…a definition

Published by Michele Boyer at 12:05 am under Cornish Heritage Farms, My Designs

Yes, more dots! I like dots. :)

This corn image is part of the bigger Saturday Evening Post release called Fall Harvest.  (You can see the whole image here.)

Life’s Many BlessingsTGLMB

I masked off the part of the stamp I didn’t want to show and stamped the corn.  Then I masked the corn and stamped the Weathered Wood backgrounder.  It wasn’t very hard, just a bit time-consuming cutting the masks around the corn and leaves.

Once the image was colored, I pierced a couple holes at the top of the corn cobs and knotted some linen thread.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!  :)

Stamps:  Cornish Heritage Farms “Fall Harvest” (Saturday Evening Post), Polka Dots backgrounder, Weathered Wood backgrounder, “All Things Fall” (The Rummage Bin)   InkAdirondack Espresso, Raisin and Latte   Cardstock:  Prism Suede Brown Dark, Sunflowers Dark, Natural Smooth   Accessories:  Copic markers, brads (Making Memories), linen thread.  Card size 5 ½” x 4 ¼”.

I think you did a FANTASTIC job with this card. The colors look ready to take a bite out of the corn!!! The background stamp, the polka dots, sentiment…REALLY my favorite kind of card, simple and elegant, but not too much “fluff”. Great job and I might have to CASE since I just received my new CHF Saturday Evening Post rubbah!!!

The polka dots mimic the corn kernels and they go so well together. Thank you, as always, for the fresh ideas and little extra details - like the thread. I always learn something from your posts. Thanks for sharing.
