A Whimsical Gnome

Published by Michele Boyer at 11:00 pm under Cornish Heritage Farms, My Designs

I’ll admit I’ve never been a big fan of gnomes, but this little guy is just irresistable (in my opinion anyway).  But then I love everything designed by Kim Hughes.  She’s so talented… and just as sweet.

Whimsical Wishes

       CHFWW3

This little guy is from one of Kim’s most recent releases, Forest Friendzy.  Such a cute set!  I can’t wait to play with it some more.

WWCU3The gnome was cut out and raised on pop dots.  (I can’t seem to make a flat card. **shrugging**  I like dimension.)  I thought about popping up his nose/moustache but decided in the end that my shading turned out well enough.  (Look at that cute face!!  Hee, hee, hee!   Don’t you just want one?)

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Oh, before I go…if you’re a fan of Shimmerz, Jacksonbelle Embellishments has the newest colors in stock and they’re on sale through Friday!  (There’s one called Choc-o-lot.  Mmmm.)  :)

Ok…bye!

Stamps:  Cornish Heritage Farms “Forest Friendzy” (Kim Hughes Collection)   Ink:   Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black   Cardstock:  Prism Suede Brown Dark, Natural Smooth   Patterned Paper:  Creative Imaginations   Accessories:  Copic markers, Queen & Co. mini-brad, American Crafts eyelets, hemp, Sakura 3-d black gel pen, pop dots.  Card size 5 ½” x 5 ½”.

Awww, he is adorable! Such a cute card! I kinda like gnomes myself…if they aren’t to tacky…you know the ones I mean!

I agree with you about Kim, she was kind and wished me a happy birthday a couple months ago, and I happened to win this set on her blog a couple weeks ago. Very sweet gal. I think you did a great job coloring him, I would have sworn you had 3D his face already. I havent had a chance to play with him yet, but I think he is the cutest gnome too!

Michele this is awesome, love it! I’m not a gnome person either, but I saw this guy the other day and thought the same thing, he IS cute! Kim H. must be super talented if she’s got me liking a gnome now, lol! Yeah, and I don’t do flat cards either. :) I like how you did the brads/hemp, neat look!

Your shading is just perfect, and I love the trio of clouds. I think I need to have this set…haven’t had any new KH rubber in quite some time. The hemp/brads trio is also just the perfect little embellishment as well!

BTW, you’ve been tagged by me…that darn Val from Cal made me do it!
