Happy Birthday

Published by Michele Boyer at 12:30 am under My Designs, Whipper Snapper

Hi everyone!  We’re putting off our JFF challenge for a bit so in the meantime, I thought I’d share this birthday card.  I made a similar one for my little niece who turns five this week.  (Happy birthday, Amy!!!)

Happy Birthday

     WSDOFP

My daughter helped me place my last Whipper Snapper order and this image was among her requests.

I wanted to use Primas for the flowers but I didn’t have the right color, nor did I have an assortment of similar shapes among different sizes to color with my Copics.  So instead I punched my flowers from the cardstock.  (That’s one way to get a perfect match, eh?  Not quite the same look as Primas but it works.)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Stamps:  Whipper Snapper Designs “Little Girl with Dotted Present”, sentiment from “Happy Birthday” cling set (Anna Wight)   Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black    Cardstock:  Prism Intense Teal, Spring Willow Medium, Super Smooth White   Patterned Paper:  Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday “Tuesday”   Accessories:  Copic markers, McGill “Buttercup,” “Petite Petals” and “Baby Blooms” punches, Martha Stewart Doily border punch, Basic Grey buttons, white string, pop dots.  Card size 5” x 5”.

Oh, gosh, this is cute, and so perfect for a little girl! Love these shades of blue and green together. Your flowers look better than Primas would have, I think. They just seem to have the right feel for this darling image.

Michele, this is so sweet! Don’t you love when your daughter “shops” for stamps with you! Chloe enjoys it just as much, if not more than I do! Of course, it’s MY money she is spending…lol
