Hangin’ with my Peeps

Hi everyone!  I have a card to share that I made for this month’s release with My Favorite Things. Somehow it never made it to my blog.

Isn’t that a GREAT sentiment? :) 

I went way overboard on the paper-piecing.  (I was seriously questioning my own sanity.)  The entire thing is paper-pieced.  I even cut between the slats on the bench so that the background (wallpaper) MFTCUwould show through the spaces.  The only parts I actually colored were the skin, chicks and bench, and even those were all cut out and assembled.  

I like the end result, but it was definately labor-intensive.

Stamps:  My Favorite Things Hangin’ with my Peeps   Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black   Cardstock:  Prism Suede Brown Dark, Natural Smooth   Patterned Paper:  Basic Grey Porcelain 6×6 paper pad  Accessories:  Copic markers (E00, YR20, YR31, E77), American Crafts brads, Martha Stewart Doily border punch, pop dots, sharp scissors and a lot of time.  Card size 5” x 5”.

    LOL…I love seeing your paper pieced cards…it’s something I don’t do…or rarely but I do admire YOUR creations…I like my fingers too much to use scissors…haha
