Getting Krafty

Published by Michele Boyer under My Designs, Sugar Nellie

Today’s Ways to Use It challenge is to use kraft cardstock.  Now there’s a color I do not use often enough.  I like it, I just never think to use it for whatever reason.

I paired kraft cardstock with Basic Grey’s new Wisteria patterned paper, using kraft as my card base, matting and stone wall.  To create the stone wall, I used a Fiskars texture plate with my Cuttlebug. I then rubbed over the raised design with a sponge dabbed into white craft ink.

I cut out the bottom portion of the image so that the girl’s legs could dangle over the “wall,” and I placed a thin strip of a pop dot beneath each leg.

My little white cross-stitches over the sentiment were inspired by my friend Carla.  :)  She often adds hand-stitching to her cards (which are always amazing).

Thanks so much for visiting!  Have a great day!
