Happy Mother’s Day, Part I

Published by Michele Boyer at 9:18 am under Cornish Heritage Farms, My Designs

It’s finally Friday.  And it finally stopped raining here…for now anyway.  We’ve had rain the last nine days with more predicted this afternoon and tomorrow.  But for now the sun is shining and it’s nice to finally see it.  (Not so nice to feel the 96% humidity, but I guess you can’t have everything, right?)

Happy Mother’s Day

    CHFHMD

This is the card I made for my mother-in-law.  She’s already received it so it’s safe to post.  :)  (Not that she peeks at my blog anyway…at least I don’t *think* she does.  She still has dial-up so I imagine that might be quite painful.)

I used my friend, Kim’s Silhouette Blooms I.  I colored the stamp with markers then re-huffed (is that a word?) to get the additional lighter impressions.  It’s been a while since I used my edge distresser so I gave it a bit of a workout on this card.

The paper is from Basic Grey’s Wisteria line (the same paper pack used on yesterday’s card.  It’s my new favorite!  I love the patterns and colors.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

LOVE this card, Michelle! The Wisteria paper is so beautiful along with the sweet Silhouette flowers! Your ribbon resembles a bird soaring into the scenery at first glance, and looks perfect there at the top corner!

Gorgeous!!! I love the way you inked the stamp, and the colors are beautiful! The stitching and distressing are great, too!

We’re drowning in rain here, also, but I think we’ll be in the clear by Mother’s Day! :)

Wow, Shel, your Mother’s Day cards are awesome - TFS! I’ve admired both Silhouette sets by afar but not taken the plunge yet. These could tip me over the edge, LOL!
