MFT June Release Hop

Hi everyone!  Welcome to this month’s My Favorite Things new release hop!  If you’ve just popped in here, you may want to go back to the beginning with Kim.

This month’s stamp releases include the new WTG set Let’s Picnic, a Who’s That Grillin’ Guy set and these adorable Poppies.   All are available tomorrow at 10 p.m. EST.

Girls Rock!

    MFTGR5

I started out with an MFT sketch for inspiration for my card, but that ended up taking on a life of it’s own, not looking much like the sketch at MFTGRCU3all in the end.

Using a craft knife, I cut away the center of the drum and turned it into a shaker.  I just happened to have coordinating microbeads that I had purchased years ago.  (Just another of those things I had to have that I figured I’d need some day.  I guess I was right for once. lol.)

I used a black Copic to transform the red heart brads into shiny black ones.

MFTGRT7The inside of the tin holds two packs of Pop Rocks and a gift card.

That bottom left side really is straight and even.  It was just pressed further down into the tin on that side.  I would retake the picture, but after two weeks of pestering, I finally let me children eat the Pop Rocks and the photo would not be quite the same without them.

Please join us tomorrow in the MFT Member Forum for the New Release Cocktail Party 8 – 10 p.m. EST.  During the party, two new MFT design team members will be announced (chosen from the MFT Staming Idol Final Four) as well as the winner of the One-Click Challenge.

Next up on the blog hop trail is mega-talented JODY!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!
