It’s a JiFFy Kind of Day

It’s that time again!  The JiFFy girls have been a little bit “folksy” this month…as opposed to a little bit country or rock n’ roll.  Now you’ll have Marie and Donny Osmond singing in your head all day…if you’re old enough to remember that.  ;)

This month Alli chose the bird image from Unity’s July kit of the month, “A Pocket Full of…” and Carole chose Graphic 45’s “Hot Tomato” from their Times Nouveau Collection.  I think it’s a perfect match.  (I’m still waiting for that really IMperfect match. (I know it’s coming…sooner or later.)

Happy Day

   UHDBB2

I colored my bird with Copics and then sponged the edges with distress ink.  I used a black 3-d gel pen on the bird’s eye, the solid dots on her UHDBBCUtail and the centers of the x’s on her body.

Be sure to check out what Julie, Kim, Alli and Lori did with the same image and paper.   (Carole is taking a bit of a break.)

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

StampsUnity “A Pocket Full of…”, “Following my Heart”   Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Walnut Stain Distress   Cardstock: Prism Black, Natural Smooth  Patterned Paper: Graphic 45 Times Nouveau “Hot Tomato”   Accessories:  Copic markers (YR31, YR23, G94, G99, E35, R85, W1, W5), clear embossing powder (over sentiment), button, cream twine, Magic Mesh, black Sakura 3-d gel pen.  Finished size 5” x 5”.

Hi! Just a note of thanks for the quick ship of The Wheel Thing. As you advised, the pkg corners were dented but the stamps themselves were in GRRREAT! shape - like new. Can’t wait to play… I had heard of SU a long time ago but only committed to making my first purchase earlier this year and boy, have I been missing out!
    Thanks again & happy crafting!
    P.S. your art is beautiful.
    Sincerely, Sam
