Spread the Boo!

Have you ever been “boo-ed”?  Someone sneaks to your door after dark, rings your doorbell, drops off a bucket or basket of Halloween goodies and then runs away?  My Favorite Things has a super-fun new release today.  It’s a Boo Crew Digi-Stamp Kit containing everything you need to start the boo-ing in your neighborhood or office.

Spread the Boo

      MFTBBS3

The kit comes with the Boo Crew digi-stamp, Boo Crew sentiments, Boo Bucket notecard download,  instruction sheet download, “I’ve Been Boo’ed” tag sheet download and project idea sheet, all for only $5.95.

The Boo Crew digital stamp is available separately (no sentiments) for $3.95.

I printed the instruction sheet on plain white paper, rolled it and placed it in one of the tubes in the bucket.

I used one of the “I’ve Been Boo’ed” tags for the bucket (cutting off the portions I did not need), and then  used the whole “tags” to make door hangers which will be delivered with the bucket.  The recipient will keep one hanger to hang on his/her door while the others are passed along to the next recipients.

It’s JiFFy Time!

Hi everyone!  It’s time for another Just For Fun challenge with my JiFFy friends!  :)

As a quick reminder of how our challenge works, one JiFFy girl selects and mails the paper to each of us, then another JiFFy girl selects and reveals the image before any of us (including the image picker) receives the paper.  So each month, none of us knows what we’ll be using until we have it.   Fun, right?

This month Julie chose this really cute dotted-on-one-side/floral-on-the-other Memory Box “Just Chillin” paper while Kim chose Memory Box’s Twizzle Tree.  And as an extra nice surprise, Ellen of Ellen Hutson LLC decided to treat each of us with the stamp.  How sweet is that?  Thank you so much, Ellen!  :)

Thanks

       JFFTTT

I chose to use only the dotted side of the paper, adding some flower lace trim underlined by thin strips of the Crabapple cardstock.  I wanted just a pop of color so I added a lime green button over my bow.

Be sure to check out what the other JiFFy girls did with this same paper and image!  I can’t wait to see for myself!  I love this challenge.  :)

Out of This World

Hi everyone!  TGIM!  :)

My card today was made using MFT’s September kit, Mr. Roboto.  (Looks like it’s on sale!)

You’re Out of This World

          MFT MROOTW

The kit actually comes with perfectly coordinated digi-papers but for some reason, my printer printed all of the black areas gray.  So I used Cosmo’s Cogsmo paper instead.

MFT MRCU

I placed teeny tiny brads over the dots on his chest, but I wanted the dots on his face to be smaller so I used a black 3-d glaze pen there.  I added dots over his eyes and at the ends of his “smile” as well.  The black glaze pen is one of my favorite supplies.  (And I always have an extra, or two, on hand…just in case.)

His little heart was stamped onto scrap paper, colored, cut out and adhered over this chest.  I then added a bit of shine to his heart with a clear glaze pen.

Here’s a peek at the inside:

Hoppin’ with Lulu

Hi everyone!  It’s time for another hop sponsored by Stamping Bella.   This time everyone is using images from the Lulu Collection.  :)   If you’re just popping in here, you may want to go back to the beginning with Emily/Blogabella.

Awwww Shucks

     SBAS3
This is Henrietta.  I think she’s so sweet.

I had a bit of a challenge with the trim on her dress.  I wanted the balls to be red so I colored over the black with an opaque white pen (a couple times), colored over the white with a red marker and lastly a clear 3-d glaze pen.

SBASIN

I finished the inside very simply and continued the sentiment there.

Layout is from an older MFT sketch.

How about a prize? The folks at Stamping Bella have decided to hide a prize somewhere along the hop! One pre-selected blogger will draw a random winner from the comments on her post, and the winner will receive a $25 Gift Voucher to Stamping Bella!!!  The fun part is…we’re not telling you who it is! So as you hop, make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!!  The winner will be announced on Monday in the Splitcoast forum.
Your next stop in the hop is with Jane

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

(Just in case there’s a break in the chain, Shannan has a master list of hop participants here.)

I’ll Keep an Eye Out for You…and a SALE!

Hi everyone!  TGIF!

I have a fun little jar to share today.   (It’s kind of creepy but fun too.)

My Eyeball Jar

      MFTEBJ

I used MFT’s new Ghoulish Label set on a 16 oz. square jar.  I cut thin strips of white cardstock, sponged the edges with Ranger’s Old Paper Distress Ink and then adhered them to the jar.  To finish off the top and bottom edges, I adhered thin strips of black cardstock.

MFTEBJTFor each eye, I stamped the eyeball twice, once in red, once in black.  I punched out the red eye, then colored the black image with a blue marker and punched out that part, adhering it over the red.  The outside eyeball (and lid eyeball) are raised on dimensional boosters.  I also traced over all of the red lines with a clear gel pen so they look wet and icky.

I made a matching card as well.  And please notice….NO PATTERNED PAPER!  I’m so proud of myself.  :)  (My friend, Lynette, had challenged me to not use patterned paper.  That’s a really hard thing for me.)

Hocus Pocus

Hi everyone!  It’s almost the weekend!  :)

Hocus Pocus

     WSDHP

This is Whipper Snapper’s Halloween Grocery List.  **giggle**  That’s such a cute name, isn’t it?  I especially like the little spider.  Don’t get me wrong.  I hate spiders.  They can do their thing outside, but I do not want to share my living environment with one (of any size).  Ick.  But this one is cute.  And it’s not real.

WSDHPCU

After coloring the image, I colored over the crossbones and skull using a clear 3-d glaze pen (and you can see the cute little spider a little better.  :) )

The paper is new Pink Paislee from Jacksonbelle Embellishments.  This was the first time I’ve used it and I already know I’ll need more.  It’s gorgeous!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Not-so-Spooky Greetings

Hi everyone!

The card I have to share today is a bit different.

Spooky Greetings

            MFTSG

It was really easy.  Really!  First I bought one of these:

MMHHThere were several foam stickers on the back (which I removed).  I opened all the windows, removed the ghost, added a tiny black brad to the door knob, and added the “Spooky Greetings” sign (attached with the tiny black brads).

I folded a piece of SU’s Basic Gray cardstock in half, aligned the left edge of the house with the fold line and traced the outer shape of the house.  I also traced the window opening and cut those out with a craft knife.  Once the base was cut, I adhere the house over the cardstock.

I stamped My Favorite Things’ Monster Squad critters, colored them with markers, cut them out and adhered them to each side of the front door.

         MFTSGCCU

Lastly, I re-attached the ghost to the inside of the card so he (I’m assuming it’s a “he”) is peeking out of the window.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

I have a super-quick card to share today.

Welcome Baby

    CHF WBE

My cards usually take hours…sometimes even days (sadly, I’m not kidding) but this one came together very quickly.  And I think it’s really cute (if I may say so).  I added a tiny dot to the elephant’s eye using a black 3-d glaze pen.  It adds just a touch more interest to the card, I think.

            CHFBECU

I hope you’re able to enjoy some crafting time on Saturday…or today…or tomorrow.  :)

With Sympathy

Hi everyone!  Last week seemed to be the week of sympathy cards around here.  I made three, and my husband came home from work yesterday asking me to make another.   This is my favorite so far.

With Sympathy

          WSDWS

It’s been ages since I watercolored on watercolor paper (or at all).  I had forgotten that patience is required.  Stamp the image.  Wait.  Lay down the first color. Wait.  Add more color…  I prefer the instant gratification of using Copics, but I like the result here.  I really should try it more often.

I used Anna’s Blossoms and Butterflies and Blooming Expressions by Whipper Snapper.  Such pretty flowers in this set.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!  :)

Stamps:  Whipper Snapper Designs “Blossoms & Butterflies” and “Blooming Expressions” (Anna Wight)   Ink: Stazon Black; Memento Tuxedo Black; Stampin’ Up Barely Banana, Elegant Eggplant, Bordering Blue   Cardstock:  Stampin’ Up Elegant Eggplant; watercolor paper; Prism Natural Smooth   Patterned Paper:  Basic Grey Wisteria 6×6 paper pad   Accessories:  Spellbinders Nestabilities, water brush, American Crafts brads.  Finished size 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.
