Happy Twisty Birthday

Hi everyone.  🙂

I have another Kraftin’ Kimmie sample to share today.

Happy Birthday

         KKFHB

This is Francesca.  I love all the twisty girls, but she’s one of my two favorites of the four.  I’ll have the other posted tomorrow for Kimmie’s big release.   🙂

KKFHBINI chose a second sentiment from Kimmie’s Everyday Sentiments for a simple finish on the inside.

Hey and a Guest Designer Challenge

Hi everyone!  Happy World Card Making Day!  I hope you have some crafting time planned today.   🙂

This month’s Guest Designer challenge with MFT is to incorporate some type of fabric into a card or project.

Hey, It’s Been a While

ofp

I “fabric-pieced” WTG’s jeans by stamping my image onto an old scrap of denim.

Once I adhered the fabric to my cardstock, I added a bit of shading with a gray marker.

If you’d like to be MFT’s next Guest Designer, you can find all the details here.

I hate to be so short, but the dreaded sinus headache and sore throat are back so I’m taking it easy.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Kraftin’ Kimmie’s Posy

TGIF!  It’s finally Friday and I can finally start sharing some new designs I’ve been working on using images from my friend, Kimmie‘s, new line!  (Did I mention how excited I am for her???)  Here is the link to her new store which will be up and running on Monday.

Love Ya!

      KKLYP
This is Posy.  She’s one of four new images in Kimmie’s Moonlight Whispers line and I **LOVE** them!  They’re just a bit “twisty” (as in “a tiny bit dark and twisty”) so I call them Kim’s “Twisty Girls”…or “Twisties” for short. Lol.  They’re illustrated by the incredibly talented Annie Rodrigue.

Anyway, for this release, each of the new Twisty Girls comes with a tiny coordinating image.  (Very cool.)  I didn’t use it here, but Posy comes with a tiny rose.  The sentiment is one of 30 (!) from Kimmie’s Everyday Sentiments.

I added a bit of clear 3-d glaze pen over Posy’s barrettes, buttons and cherries.

Kimmie’s big release is Monday but I’ll have another card to share before then AND I’m participating in her big release hop on Monday.  (I’m saving my favorite for that one.)  🙂

Be sure to head over to Kimmie’s blog for more previews and links to her incredibly talented design team (whom I am SURE has lots of fabulous previews)!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Say it with Pizzazz

Hi everyone. 🙂

I’m filling in for Julia’s WT Challenge today at Splitcoast.  I thought it might be fun to jazz up our sentiments.  The idea is to add bling or switch out a letter or word in a sentiment with a different object.  It can be a small, subtle change or a big whammy…whichever you prefer.  🙂  Challenge info (here).

…Please put on your sunglasses…

Bringing you Sunshine

OFP

I placed a bright yellow brad in the ‘o’ of ‘you’, turning it into a little sun.

The girl’s outfit was paper-pieced with the ends of her top and scarf bent up a bit to add some dimension.

My bright paper is from Basic Grey’s June Bug line from Jacksonbelle Embellishments.  Looks like she’s sold out of it BUT she does have new Basic Grey Eerie and Eskimo Kisses, My Mind’s Eye, Prima, Making Memories, Pink Paislee and more. AND she’s having a 25% off EVERYTHING sale through Monday, October 5th!  Simply use code FALL (all caps) at checkout.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!  🙂
