It’s Week 5 of My Favorite Things’ So You Think You Can Stamp contest. This week’s theme is “Contemporary–Fresh and modern, think clean lines and simple style.” Well, I was totally scratching my head on this one. My work is usually not modern and it’s usually not clean or simple. It was scary. But I tried.
Think Snow #1
No patterned paper! GASP!
I used MFT’s new Cool Yule set which will be available tonight at 10 p.m. I tried to keep everything pretty white, or in this case cream. But it was killing me. So….
I kicked it up a notch or two while still trying to keep it pretty simple.
Think Snow #2
That’s a big ol’ button from one of my MFT button scoops with a white glitter dot in the center. I stamped the scarf a second time, added white dots, then cut it apart to add some fringe and dimensional boosters beneath a few of the ends.
If you’d like to play along, you can check out all the contest rules and details HERE.
All entries for this week’s theme must be uploaded to SCS by Monday, November 9th. Be sure to check out the details. There are a few specifics you’ll need to know. Let’s see your contemporary projects!
I’ll be back at 10 p.m. tonight for the MFT New Release blog hop! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
