It’s JiFFy Time!!

Hi everyone!  It’s time for my JiFFy friends to get together once again for our JiFFy challenge!  (JiFFy as in Just For Fun.)

This month Lori sent to everyone this yummy warm “Cinnamon” paper from Cosmo’s Nutmeg collection.  It was my turn to pick the image, but before I had given it much thought, Kim (from My Favorite Things) graciously offered to sponsor us this month, providing a Pure Innocence set to everyone in the group.  I chose Snow Day.  (Thank you SO much, Kim!)  I love all the Pure Innocence images so I was thrilled to be using this one for our challenge.  🙂

You Warm my Heart

I stamped my girl onto an MFT Cream Perfect Paper Panel, colored with Copics and then added lots of texture with crocheted lace trim, a felt button, scallopy border and some faux stitching.

Be sure to check out what the other JiFFy girls did with this same paper and image!  I can’t wait to see!  🙂

A Pure Innocence Preview

Hi everyone.  Today the My Favorite Things design team, along with some very special guests, are previewing four new Pure Innocence images to be released Wednesday, December 2nd.   Here I’ve used Heart Stripes.

Best Friends

Totally inspired by my friend, Jody, I decided to create a little address/ phone number/memento book for my daughter.

I stamped the girl twice onto a cream Perfect Paper Panel, masking the right side of the left girl so I could stamp the second image very close.  If I could have made the girls hugging one another and jumping up and down (while screaming), that would have been more appropriate as my daughter and her friends are the HUGGIEST (and ‘screaming-est’) bunch of girls I’ve EVER seen.  But we’ll have to settle for them standing side by side (silently).

The sentiment “Best Friends” was stamped onto one of the die cuts that came with the My Mind’s Eye Be-Loved paper pack.  The lace trim hides two hinges.

I stitched a little pocket to the bottoms of 16 pieces of cardstock (each cut to fit the pages of the album), alternating the patterns on each page.

The name/address cards are inserts which my daughter can rearrange as her “best friends” come and go.   And there’s room in each pocket for a little picture or other memento to go along with each of her friends.  (There are extra cards in the back.)  And if she decides she’d rather do something else with the book, that’s fine too.  With the inserts, she’s not limited to its purpose.

Be sure to check out Kim’s blog (HERE) after 11 a.m. this morning for direct links to more samples using this set plus three more.  They are all totally adorable.  🙂
