MFT Previews – Day 1

It’s that time again!  Time to share examples of the February releases by My Favorite Things!  (Release date Wednesday, February 3rd.)  Today the design team is showing samples using Basket Full o’ Flopsey and Love Birds.  I chose Flopsey.  🙂

A Basket of Love…for You

This set comes with three different images to place in the basket along with words to match.  Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, I decided to use the hearts.

I paper-pieced the basket then colored in the handle with a matching marker.  (There was no way I was going to cut out that skinny little thing.)

I dotted a black 3-d glaze pen on Flopsey’s eyes and popped up the whole front panel.

I added lots of (sloppy) stitching on the inside to match the (sloppy) stitching on the outside.
