Kraftin Kimmie Previews, Day 3

Hi everyone!  The Krafty girls are still sharing previews of Kraftin Kimmie’s July release but it’s also Saturday, which is Challenge Day.  This week Krista has challenged us to use Beautiful Bows.

You’re Just Right!

   KKYJR

Isn’t Annie’s version of Goldilocks so CUTE?  (I shall call her “Twisty-locks.” lol.)  I love her hair!  It’s so “Charlotte-ish, only bigger!”  🙂  The image comes along with the sentiment I’ve used here and a little bear stamp.

KKYJRCUI kept this card very simple, coloring with Copics and only using one patterned paper.  (Not much of a layout.)  I had a bit of a fit with the bow but once I switched to a nicer ribbon, I was happier with it.

To see more samples with beautiful bows, please check out the Krafty Blog HERE.  If you’d like to play along, please post a link there on the blog for your chance to win a free stamp from Kraftin Kimmie!

I’ll be back tomorrow (1 a.m. EST) with Kimmie’s Release Hop when ALL of the new images will be available!  Thanks so much for stopping by!   Have a great day!

Kraftin Kimmie Previews, Day 2

Hello.  🙂  The girls are back today with more previews of Kraftin Kimmie’s July releases.  Today I’ve used Little Red from the Moonlight Whispers line.  Along with the image comes a basket accessory stamp and two sentiments.  🙂

Oops!

    KKOOPS

It’s been a while since I “dirtied up” a card but since Little Red’s cape is a bit worn, I thought it could be a bit dirty as well.

KKOOPS CUAfter stamping and coloring my image, I cut it out with a Nestie, then left the die-cut in place while I sponged some Walnut Stain distress ink around the edges.  I sponged around the edges of the patterned papers as well.  Before (and a bit after) tying the ribbon, I sponged it also with the distress ink.

The sentiment was heat embossed to help it stand out against the gingham print.

For direct links to more design team previews, please check out the Krafty Blog HERE.  I’ll be back tomorrow with my favorite image from this latest release.  🙂  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Kraftin Kimmie Previews, Day 1

Hello!  Today begins previews for Kraftin Kimmie’s July releases!  We’ll be sharing previews through Saturday, the 17th, with a Release Blog Hop on Sunday, the 18th.

This month in the Moonlight Whispers line, Annie has created the CUTEST fairy tale images!  And there are three new mouse images by Steven Leary as well!  All are really cute and we’ve been eager to share.  🙂

Let Your Hair Down!

    KKLYHD

My sample today uses Rapunzel.  I’ve always loved her, and how fun to actually have a stamp of her!  Of course my daughter had to point out the fact that Rapunzel’s hair is blonde, not brown.  When we went to see “Despicable Me” yesterday afternoon, didn’t I pay KKLYHDCUattention to the previews of Disney’s new movie “Tangled”?  Well, yes, I did pay attention (I wasn’t asleep yet), and yes, I do know that Rapunzel’s hair is blonde.  But I didn’t feel like coloring her hair blonde and I think she’s just as pretty as a brunette.  So there.  🙂

I colored the tiny pearls with a pink Copic, and the layout was inspired by an older Mojo Monday sketch.  It’s difficult to see in the photo, but I also stamped the tiny bow at the end of her hair an extra time, cut it out and glued only the center over the bottom bow, bending up each side just slightly.

For links to more design team samples of Kimmie’s previews, please check out the Krafty Blog HERE

I’ll be back with more over the next three days.  Thanks so much for stopping by!   🙂

It’s à la mode Time!

Hello!   You’ve reached the end of the My Favorite Things à la mode release hop!  If you’ve just popped in here, you’ve missed everything and should go back to the beginning with Kim.  If you’ve just come from Frances, then you’re right on track.  🙂

Tonight brings the release of MFT’s newest (and one of the cutest) lines…The à la modes!  You’ve seen the previews of the two sets in the last two days and they’re now available right HERE.

Smile

        MFTSALM

I’ve used Picture Perfect à la mode.  She’s stamped onto an MFT Cream Perfect Paper Panel and colored with Copic markers.  Her dress and MFTSALMCUboots are paper-pieced and I’ve popped up her camera for added dimension.

Along the side I’ve used MFT’s Open Scallop Die-namics border die (my favorite of the newest die releases).  I  wrapped cream jute string along the die-cut and created a little tag of sorts for the sentiment.  I say “of sorts” because I didn’t really attach it to the string.  It’s tucked beneath the bow and adhered to the image panel.

MFTSINOn the inside, I used another of the sentiments that comes along with the set.

That’s it for our hop!  Now it’s time to SHOP!  🙂

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Stamps:  MFT “Picture Perfect” à la mode  Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black  Cardstock: Stampin’ Up Ruby Red, MFT Cream Perfect Paper Panel  Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket Material Girl 6×6 Mini Deck  Accessories: Copic markers (E000, E00, R02, R05,  E31, E33, Y21, YR23, W1, W3, B0000), Prismacolor Pencils, cream jute string, MFT Open Scallop Die-namics border die, brads, dimensional boosters.  Finished size 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.

The à la modes — Part 2

Hello again!  The My Favorite Things design team is back today with teasers using the second of two new sets releasing tonight at 10 p.m. EST.

Have a Sweet Day

         MFTHASD

Today’s samples feature Birthday Girl à la mode.  The set comes with the cute image you see here plus four sentiments.

MFTSDJust as a reminder, the à la modes are only available in deeply etched, scroll cut, ready to use, made in the USA rubber.

Each set comes in it’s own little storage bag and will sell for $10.95 (for the 3″ x 4″ set).

I didn’t do anything new or super-exciting here (other than use the super-cute new stamp set, of course).  I colored with Copics, added a bit of ground with my Prisma pencils and added a few tiny brown pearls over the girl’s necklace.  ETA:  I forgot to mention that I sponged a bit of VersaMagic Wheat ink around the edges.  (oops!) 🙂

MFTSDOn the inside of my card, I rearranged two of the sentiments to create “Sweet Girl.”

The papers were all already cut (scraps) from the pieces used on the front of my card.

I really do love these gals and can’t wait to see what’s in store for them (or us) next month!

I’ll be back tonight for MFT’s à la mode Hop & Shop which begins at 10 p.m. EST right HERE.  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Stamps: MFT “Birthday Girl” (à la mode)  Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, VersaMagic Wheat Chalk  Cardstock: Papertrey Ink Dark Chocolate, MFT cream Perfect Paper Panel  Patterned Paper: Basic Grey Capella 6×6 paper pad  Accessories: Copic markers (E000, E00, E33, E35, E50, E71, R00, BG93, W00), Prismacolor pencils, ribbon, jump ring, 1 ¼” and 1 3/8” circle punches, Creative Memories circle cutter, dimensional boosters.  Finished size 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.

A Surprise à la mode!

Hi everyone!  With the celebration of My Favorite Things fourth birthday, Kim has had a few surprises up her sleeve and the design team is here today to share one of them!  We have a totally adorable new line which I think you’re going to love — the à la modes!  We’re sharing samples of one set today and one set tomorrow with a kick-off release Hop & Shop Wednesday night at 10 p.m. EST.

Here are some specifics about this fab new line:

  • à la modes will be available only in rubber.  (Yay!)
  • Each set is produced in the USA using the highest quality rubber with the deepest etch possible.
  • Each image and sentiment is backed on cling foam and scroll cut, making it ready for stamping right out of the bag! (LOVE that!)
  • Packaged in a clear hang bag, MFT has also provided the ideal storage solution by including a thick laminated header card in each set that can be used to store the stamp set in its entirety after purchase.
  • Each set will sell for $10.95 for the 3″ x 4″ set.

You Can Change the World

        MFTYCCWALM

I’ve used Picture Perfect à la mode.   I colored with Copics, added a tiny brad to the camera and used MFT’s Sunshine Die-namics die cut, placing a 1″ punched circle (and a big pop dot) behind the inner yellow circle.

MFTCTWINI split the sentiment, using part of it on the front and the remainder on the inside of my card.

For direct links to more samples using this set, please check out Kim’s blog after 11 a.m. EST.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

(btw…Just so you know, I’ve been having blog issues with posts disappearing or not showing up for a while after they’ve been posted.  Please know that I am posting fairly regularly and when I’m in a hop, my project really IS there, I’m not flaking.  I wish I could fix it but I can’t.  Hopefully things will work out soon but in the meantime, know that I AM doing what I’m supposed to be doing.  Maybe if you hit ‘refresh’ 20 times…or 50, things will reappear…not that I expect anyone to do that but just sayin’, my work is there.  It really is. Thanks!)

Kraftin Kimmie — Pretty in Pink

Hi everyone!  It’s time for another challenge with Kraftin Kimmie!  This week Andrea has challenged us to “Pink it Up.”  So I did.  🙂

Yes You Can-Can!

   KKYYCC

Suzette (from the Moonlight Whispers line) is dancing up a storm, providing some needed encouragement for a friend in need.

KKYCCCUI colored her with Copics and then added some glossy shine to her lips and heart hair clip using a clear 3-d glaze pen.

To see more samples for this challenge, you can check out the Krafty Blog.  If you’d like to play along, be sure to link your creation there for your chance to win a free stamp from Kraftin Kimmie!  And fyi–Kimmie’s July previews begin next Thursday!  🙂

Bon Voyage

    ofp

One of my favorites of the new releases is this Are We There Yet set from the Pure Innocence line.  So sweet!

I was inspired by my fellow MFT-mate, Lisa, to pull out my scraps of denim.  I thought it would work perfectly for the little tote bag.    I colored and cut out the sunglasses, added a bit of shine with a clear 3-d glaze pen and adhered them atop the girl’s head.  I paper-pieced the shirt, shorts and luggage, and added another tiny brad onto the luggage wheel.

MFT’s Sunshine Die-namics die-cut created a quick sun and I finished off the bottom of my card with the new Jumbo Open Scallop Die-namics border die.

To finish the inside, I used scraps of the patterned paper, stamped a silhouette of the little girl and added the sentiment we here all too often, “Are we there yet?  Are we there yet?”

Your next stop along the hop is with mega-talent JODI COLLINS!  I’m sure she has something stunning to share.  (Everything she creates is stunning.)

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Happy hopping… and shopping!  🙂

MFT Previews, Day 5

Hi everyone!  It’s the last day of previews for the July releases with My Favorite Things!  Tonight all the new sets and products will be available at 10 p.m. EST, preceeded by a fun-filled pre-release party from 8-10 p.m. EST and the announcement of our next guest designer!  I can’t wait to hear who it will be!  You can find all of tonight’s happenings right HERE.

Today we’re sharing samples of three new sets, Who’s That Gardening Girl?, Green Thumb (mini sentiment set) and Clearly Sentimental about Gardens

She Who Plants a Garden

   MFTSWP

The sentiment here is from Clearly Sentimental about Gardens.  If you have friends who garden, I think you’ll love this set.

MFTPHINOn the inside of my card, I used a sentiment from Clearly Sentimental about Birthdays.  I thought the two went well together.

Don’t forget to check Kim’s blog after 11 a.m. EST this morning for direct links to more samples!  And I hope you’ll stop by the pre-release party tonight from 8-10 p.m. EST in the SCS Member Forum.   I’ll be back tonight at 10 p.m. (EST) with MFT’s Release Hop & Shop!  See you then!  🙂

MFT Previews, Day 4

Hello.  🙂  Today the My Favorite Things team is previewing two more new sets, Just for You (Jolinne) and Framed Greetings…which fits perfectly into one of our new Die-namics die-cuts (but I didn’t use that one).

Sending Hugs

     MFTSH2A

This Jolinne is so sweet.  It’s like she’s just a bit shy and maybe a bit giggly too.  I paper-pieced her dress using my favorite print by The Girls’ Paperie.  Jody tortured me, using it for so long that I finally had to track down a piece for myself.  But now hers is gone and mine isn’t so na-na.  🙂

MFTSHINAlong the side I used one of our July Die-namics die-cut releases, Jumbo Open Scallop.  Just warning you, you’ll be seeing lots of this one.  I love it.

On the inside, I used a second sentiment and tiny butterfly from the set and more of MFT’s Spring Swarovski Crystal Adornments.

MFT July Reminders:
