Hi everyone!  It’s Day 4 of previews with My Favorite Things!   Teaser prizes continue so be sure to leave comments as you visit each blog.  You can find the complete list of participating DT members HERE after 11 a.m. EST.

Today the team is sharing samples of two new Flapper Doodle sets and Jolinne Friends Forever.

Friends Forever

   MFTJFF

This is my all-time favorite Jolinne set, Friends Forever.    The set comes with the image I’ve used here plus two sweet sentiments.

     MFTFFCU

I colored with markers and paper-pieced Jolinne’s dress and hair ribbons using my new favorite patterned paper, Cosmo Cricket’s Togetherness.  (You will be seeing lots of it.)

      MFTNBDB

       MFTDNNB

Along the bottom of my card I used MFT’s new Notebook Edge Die-namics border (to be released tomorrow, September 1st).  Instead of using the torn notebook edge, I used the negative, creating a line of perfectly straight and totally cooperative balls.  😉

.

        MFTFFIN

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from a previous Jolinne release, Just For You.

It’s JiFFy Time!

Hi everyone!  It’s time to get back together with my JiFFy friends!  This month Kim sent to everyone this lovely “Sunshine” paper from Echo Park’s A Walk in the Park line.  Once the paper was on it’s way to everyone, I revealed that I had chosen Willow Writing Recipes by Whiff of Joy.

Missing You

   JFFMY2

I decided my girl was writing in a journal instead of writing recipes.

I had a bit of a hard time coloring her shirt.  I wanted to use the yellow, but I didn’t want it to be quite as bright as the paper.  I have a hard time with the darker and brighter colors.

    JFFMYCU

Along the side I used more of the “unknown” felt flower trim, adhering each flower with a tiny brad.  And on the patterned paper, I added a tiny dot of brown in each flower center.

Be sure to check out what the other JiFFy girls did with this same image and paper!  I can’t wait to see for myself!

Hi everyone!  It’s Day 3 of previews with My Favorite Things!   Teaser prizes continue so be sure to leave comments as you visit each blog.  You can find the complete list of participating DT members HERE after 11 a.m. EST.

Today the team is sharing samples of the new Pure Innocence sets, Super Boy, Honey Bee and Princess.

You’re Sweet as Honey

        MFTYS

As you can see, I’ve used Honey Bee.  How cute is that image???  The set comes with the little Honey Bee PI, dripping honey to include on the bucket if desired, three sentiments and three tiny words that can be placed on the bucket.

        MFTYSCU

I colored my Honey Bee with markers, then added clear 3-d glaze over the dripping honey and the PI’s eyes and wings.

SSDFor the sentiment, I cut out one of the honeycombs from the back side of the patterned paper and tucked it beneath the colored image panel.

Along the bottom of my card and beneath the two strips I used MFT’s Small Scallop Die-namics border die.

On the inside I completed the sentiment, stamped a silhouette of the Honey Bee and added two black brads at the ends of the antennas (as I did on the front).

Hi everyone!  It’s Day 2 of previews with My Favorite Things!   Teaser prizes continue so be sure to leave comments as you visit each blog.  You can find the complete list of participating DT members HERE after 11 a.m. EST.

Today the team is sharing samples of three fun new sets, Fred Bear Goes Fishing, Emma Playing Mommy and Wyatt the Conductor.   My husband and son are big on trains so I went with Wyatt.  🙂

I Think You Can

    MFTITYC

This adorable set comes with Wyatt, the train (in three separate pieces) and three cute sentiments.  (I stamped this one twice.)

   MFTITYCCU

I colored Wyatt with markers, giving him dirty knees as most boys have, and I linked the train cars together, adding a little pull string with a ball (brad) at the end.  My son had a blue train like this so in making this card I’ve had a little “awwww…” moment.

    MFTITYCIN

On the inside, I stamped the three train cars together in black ink.

Pearly Whites

Hi everyone.  It’s Challenge Day with Kraftin Kimmie!  This week Jeanne is challenging everyone to use white with pearls.  I’m not a big pearl girl, and I often don’t use white so this actually was a bit of a challenge for me.

One of Those Days?

   KKOTD

Cinderella (from Kimmie’s Moonlight Whispers line) is wearing her prettiest white gown and pearls.  The party might not be over but she’s in a big hurry to get home before curfew.

    KKOTDCU

Everyone in this house has asked me how I made the clock.  I did not make the clock.  It was another of those mysterious items I found in my stash while searching for something else.  I inserted a brad from the back and bent the prongs to resemble the clock hands.

To see more samples for this challenge, please visit the Krafty Blog HERE.  And if you’d like to play along for a chance to win a free stamp from Kraftin Kimmie, be sure to leave a link to your creation there on the blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Today the team is sharing samples of Tiny Town Halloween, Clearly Sentimental about Harvesting and our new Wendy Uppercase Alphabet.

WISH BIG

OFP

I chose to use the Wendy Uppercase Alphas with one of our new Die-namics dies releasing September 1st, Rounded Banner.  Instead of the traditional banner hanging from a string, I hung my banners on little garden flag hangers.  In addition to the Rounded Banner die, I also used Flower Trio and Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics

   RBD  FLT

                              FCG

I carried the garden flag idea to the inside of my card, leaving room for a little personal note.

I’m So Grateful

Hi.  I’m back with another quick and easy card today.  (It’s a nice change of pace.)  🙂

The last time I was in my kind-of-local scrap store, I found one sheet (yes, only one) of this patterned kraft paper by Jillibean Soup.  I love it and wish there had been more.  Maybe it’s time for a bit of internet shopping…

I’m So Grateful for You

      MFTISG

I actually didn’t start out wanting to use this specific paper.  I wanted to use the ribbon.  I bought several colors quite a while ago from Sharon’s store (here) and just haven’t used it.  It’s reallllly nice…

The sentiment is from Framed Greetings by My Favorite Things

     MFTISGI

On the inside, I used the same sentiment but omitted the “I’m” and “for you” just to add a bit of emphasis to the “grateful” part.  I wanted to do more with the inside but decided since the outside was pretty plain, the inside should be as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I’ll be back on Saturday with Kimmie’s weekly challenge and MFT September previews!! 🙂  Have a great day!

Stamps:  My Favorite Things “Framed Greetings”  Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa  Cardstock:  Prism Kraft  Patterned Paper:  Jillibean Soup “Soup Staples” White Macaroni  Accessories:  May Arts ribbon  Finished size 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.

This Cupcake is Heavy, but You’re Worth It

I’m a huge fan of the new à la modes line from My Favorite Things.  I really like that they’re always holding something oversized.  So fun.  🙂

Make a Wish, Birthday Girl

       MFTMAW

This is Birthday Girl.  She’s on her way to a fancy celebration, all dolled up in her best dress.  But that cupcake is really heavy so I hope she arrives soon.  😉

MFTMAWINOn the inside I’ve placed two of the four sentiments that come along with the set and, as usual, put some of my scraps to good use.

Changing subjects just a bit… MFT’s September teasers begin Saturday so hold on to your horses! It’s another fun-packed release!  🙂

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Stamps:  My Favorite Things “Birthday Girl” (à la modes)   Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black  Cardstock: Prism Intense Orange, MFT cream Perfect Paper Panel  Patterned Paper: Basic Grey Sugar Rush 6×6 paper pad  Accessories: Copic markers (E000, E00, YG03, YG05, R00, YR02, YR04, YR07, RV42, Y21, C00, B0000), Prismacolor pencils, ribbon, button, white string, sewing machine, dimensional boosters.  Finished size 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.

Goo Goo for You

One of my good friends from our neighborhood is having a baby boy soon.  I’m just so happy for them!   I wanted to share the card I made for my friend.  It was super-quick and super-easy yet turned out really cute (in my opinion).

Goo Goo for You

   KAGGFY

I always spend so much time on my cards.  It’s sometimes nice to just let things be clean and simple.  (Although that does not in any way come easy to me so I’m just thrilled that this card did not take two days to complete.)

   KAGGFYCU

I used a thin scrap of white/yellow patterned paper, a block of blue, some kraft cardstock…and a 3-d sticker.  Added some stitching, a few pop dots…done.  Easy peasy.  🙂

I can’t wait to meet our newest little neighbor.  But have no fear.  The baby bug will not enter my home.  As I’ve told my children when they ask for a new baby brother or sister, that shipped has not only sailed, it has sunken to the bottom of the sea.  😉

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

3-d Sticker: Sandy Lion  Sentiment:  Cornish Heritage Farms “Baby Love” (Kim Hughes Collection)   Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black  Cardstock: Prism Kraft  Patterned Paper:  October Afternoon “Ducks in a Row” 8×8 paper pad  Accessories:  Sewing machine, dimensional boosters.  Finished size 5 ½” x 4 ¼”.

It’s Almost Time…

I can’t believe the start of school is just around the corner.  Only a few more short weeks.  This summer has certainly flown by.  (Maybe because I’ve been crazily busy …)

Anyway, I’ve finally gotten around to using this cute school-themed set by My Favorite Things, Emma With her Backpack.

Have an Extra-Ordinary Day at School

    MFTXD

I stamped Emma onto a cream Perfect Paper Panel, colored and cut her out then adhered her over an October Afternoon Report Card journaling card.  I split the sentiment, placing bits of it on each line of the journaling card.

               MFTXDCU

I’m off for a while (literally) but you won’t notice.  I’ve LOTS of stuff scheduled to post.  (Hopefully it will all work.  Eek!)

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!
