A Kraftin Kimmie Challenge

Hi everyone! Time for another challenge with Kraftin Kimmie!  This week Vicki is our Hostess Extraordinaire and she is challenging us to make a birthday card for a boy.  That usually is a challenge for me, but luckily Kimmie has these really cute pirate stamps…  🙂

It’s Yarr Birthday

      KKIYBD
This is Billy Blyth.  I colored him with markers and added the ground with pencils.  I tried to make his pants look kind of dirty because, well, I’ve never seen a clean pirate.

IYBDCU2I added some stitching and then placed the three brad-ish stickers in the lower right corner.  I love those because after I’ve glued everything together, I sometimes decide I need to add something in a corner and I just canNOT bring myself to have brad prongs (or anything else) on the inside of my card.  (Just one of my own crazy rules.)

Be sure to check out the Krafty blog for more design team samples for this challenge. If you’d like to play along, don’t forget to post a link there to your creation so that you’ll have a chance to win a free stamp from Kraftin Kimmie (the cute Miles stamp Vicki used)!

Oh, and the August previews begin Thursday!  Yipee!!  🙂

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!
