A Challenge and a Question… To Keurig or Not to Keurig?

Hello!  It’s time for a challenge with Kraftin Kimmie!  This week Andrea has challenged us to make a spooky card.  I went in a bit of a “different” direction with mine.  I may be the only one who thinks this is funny but that’s ok.  I often laugh by myself…and at myself.  🙂

Is it Coffee Yet?

This is Hattie.  Apparently she’s been waiting a  v-e-r-y  l-o-n-g  t-i-m-e  for her coffee.   My card is scary because if she (“Hattie”) has to wait too long for her coffee, she gets mean.  (I think “her” moment has passed.)

Hattie’s my favorite of Kimmie’s Halloween releases.  She’s so feminine…and dainty…and tired (lol).

After coloring her with markers, I stamped her dress portion again onto vellum cardstock, three times.  I colored the vellum then cut out the three different layers of her dress, adhering each and bending the bottoms up just a bit.  Once the pieces were in place, I stamped and colored the tie (around her waist) onto a scrap of white cardstock, colored, cut it out and adhered that as well.  I only placed the glue on the waistband portion so I could bend up the loops.  I also used a black 3-d glaze pen to add a bit of dimension and shine to her eyes and the spider.  (I didn’t add shine or glitter to her dress.  That’s just the reflection of light on the colored vellum.)

So, about my question… Like Hattie here (lol), I’m trying to decide if a Keurig is worth the cost.   I don’t have to have my coffee “super” fast or brewed super-quiet, but I do want it to be super-good.  Do you have a Keurig?  Do you like it?  If so, why?   If not, why not?  Do you think the cups are expensive?  Do you hide your machine when you have company and pull out the old, slow coffeemaker or do you let your guests choose their flavors?  Please… help me decide.  🙂

I need to stop typing now. I got my flu shot yesterday and my arm is killing me.  I knew as soon as the needle went it, it was going to hurt.  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!
