Kraftin Kimmie Previews, Day 3

Hi everyone!  It’s Day 3 of previews with Kraftin Kimmie’s October releases!   When I saw Merry with her big ol’ turkey fresh from the oven, my first thought was “Thanksgiving” so that’s the spin I put on my card.

Happy Feasting!

Basic Grey’s new Pyrus, my favorite of their new collections, was the perfect choice with the warm, toasty colors.  As yesterday, my layout is very simple, but here I’ve added lots of stitching, switching out from straight to zig-zag as I went along.

After coloring my image with markers, I added bits of shading here and there with my Prismacolor pencils.  As I mentioned before, this is new to me but I’ve been trying.  I’m afraid my turkey looks a little on the well-done side, but I suppose it’s not too bad.  (Still edible, anyway. Ha!)

For direct links to more samples of Kimmie’s October releases, you can check out the Krafty Blog HERE.  Then I hope you’ll come back tomorrow (or verrryy late tonight) for the Krafty Hop and release (10/19, 1 a.m. EST) when ALL the new images will be available for purchase.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

MFT à la modes Previews, Day 1

Hi everyone!  Today the My Favorite Things design team is sharing samples using the first of two new à la modes!  Today we’re previewing It Must Be Love

It Must Be Love

The set comes with the image seen here plus five sentiments.

I couldn’t seem to find the right combination of markers (or pencils) to match the peachy-pink paper so I paper-pieced the girl’s dress then added just a bit of shading with a light gray marker.

On the inside, I mimicked the layout from the front and stamped the silhouette of the girl, placing the sentiment at the bottom instead of the usual spot at the top.

For direct links to more samples using this set, please check out Kim’s blog HERE after 11 a.m. EST.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!
