MFTeasers, Day 1

Hello!  Welcome to Day 1 of December previews with My  Favorite Things!  This month some of the team is taking some time off but alongside those who remain, we have some very special Guest Designers with us for the entire month.  Be sure to check out Kim’s blog after 11 a.m. EST for direct links to samples and to see who’s stamping with us.  🙂

Let Your Dreams Take Flight

My sample today uses Tweeny Teen – You Give Me Wings.  I just adore this set, especially this little girl’s hair.  So cute.  To get the “curly” look, I colored in circles, intentionally covering the area unevenly.  I then went back with a darker marker and dotted in a bit of shading.

After coloring with markers, I added a bit of glitter to the wings using a clear Spica glitter pen.

 Along the left edge on the front of the card (and the inside as well), I used one of MFT’s new Die-namics borders, Dainty Dots (available on Wednesday, December 1st).  The flowers were die-cut using Flower Trio Die-namics.

On the inside I stamped a silhouette of the girl using a light blue ink.
