December à la modes, Preview 1

Hello.   Today the My Favorite Things design team is previewing the first of two new à la modes sets to be released tomorrow night (2/14 at 10 p.m. EST) along with this month’s WTG VIP.   I look so forward to the à la modes each month…one of my favorite MFT lines.  🙂

Time for the Big Girl Bubbles

Today we’re previewing Cheers à la modes.  The set comes with the image I’ve used here and three sentiments.

Doesn’t she look like a Barbie?  And so proper…just like me when I hold *my* champagne glass.  (lol)

After adding color to the background, skin and hair, I paper-pieced the dress, popping up the bottom edge just a bit with a small foam booster.  To achieve the very light color in the glass, I touched the tip of my colorless blender pen to a Y21 marker (the same marker I used on the hair), adding  just a bit more concentration of color along the bottom of the glass.

The loopy borders along the top and bottom edges of the dotted strip were created using MFT’s new Dainty Dots Border Die-namics.

On the inside I used a second sentiment from the set and stamped a partial image of the girl.

For a list of direct links to more samples using this set, please check Kim’s blog HERE after 11 a.m. EST.

I’ll be back tomorrow with a sample using the second new à la modes!  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!
