Getting Sketchy, Week 8

**Please press Ctrl-F5 to “hard” refresh if you’d like to make sure you are seeing my latest post. Thanks!**

Hi everyone!  It’s time to get sketchy with My Favorite Things’ Wednesday Stamp Club.  I made two cards this week.  I didn’t really like the first so I made another.  First up is the one I DO like.

I Remembered Your Birthday…a little late

I used my favorite new patterned paper, My Mind’s Eye Stella and Rose “Gertie.”  I’m pretty sure I’m going to need to buy a second pack.

I used MFT’s Textile Rectangle Die-namics & Stamp set along with Simply Scallops Die-namics border.

On the inside, I used a sentiment from Who’s That Harvest Girl…because sometimes it is rotten to remember certain birthdays a little late….sometimes. (I’m guilty.)

And here’s the first card I made (my least fave of the two).  I think it’s just too “old fashioned-ish” for me.

You Fill my Heart with Love

I used Little Angel from the Pure Innocence line.

Along the bottom I used the Faux Crochet border Die-namics (currently out of stock).

On the inside, I used a second sentiment from the set.

You can find direct links to more DT samples HERE on the MFT Blog.  The info is also posted in the MFT forum on SCS.  (Look for the most recent WSC thread numbered 8).  And remember, if you upload your card in the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch, you will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money!  One winner is chosen at random each week.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

  1. They are both awesome…but I think I NEED that paper, too.

  2. Both cards are simply adorable Michele! I just purchased 3 sets of the new MME Stella & Rose paper pads and oh my gosh — what GORGEOUS papers!! :-)

  3. Love both your cards Michele. Great colouring as ever 😉
I hear what you mean about that second one being a little away from your usual style. Sometimes though I think we need to make cards with a slightly different look, to suit different recipients. I don’t find it so easy to make more traditional feeling cards, but sometimes I need to! Just a little stretch for our crafty talents, huh?!!

  4. Both of these are incredible Michele!! I love them!!!

  5. Karen Van De Walle

I just love the cheeriness of the papers you used for the challenges. Super cute cards!

  6. Not that I don’t love them both, cause I do, but I think I might like your first card more!!! Both are fab, no matter what!

  7. While both cards are adorable, I think I like your first card more! LOVE the inside! HAHAHAHA! Who ISN’T guilty of that?!
And I do like your other card too, but you’re a contemporary stamper and this is different! Not that it’s not well done! Ok, I’m done putting my foot in my mouth!
No matter what, I think you’re fabulous! 😉
