MFT April Blog Hop & Shop

**A hard refresh (COMMAND-R for Mac or CTRL-F5 on PC) will ensure you are seeing the latest post on this blog.**

Hello.  🙂  Welcome to the April release Hop & Shop with My Favorite Things!  If you’ve just popped in here, you might want to go back to the beginning with Kim.  If you’ve just come from Jessie, then you’re right where you’re supposed to be.

Before I go into the details of my card, I’d just like to say that I did not start out intending for this to look like a July graduation.  (lol)  It just kind of happened as I went along.

You Did It!

I’ve used Grad Girl from MFT’s Pure Innocence line.  I was a little worried about coloring her cap and gown Royal Blue.  I think darker colors are harder to shade, but I added bits of W7 and 100 (black) and I think it turned out ok afterall.

I die-cut stars using MFT’s Stacking Stars Die-namics and used the Notebook Edge Die-namics to create the torn edge and perforation on the note paper.

On the inside, I split the sentiment so the words would appear to be “written on the lines” as opposed to just “stamped on the paper.”

ALL of the new sets and Die-namics you’ve seen previewed this past week are NOW available (here).  But first I hope you’ll continue on with the hop.  THEN shop.  :)

Your next stop is with JEN

Thank you SO much for visiting!  Have a great night, and happy shopping!  🙂

MFTeasers, Day 5

It’s almost time!  I think this is one of My Favorite Things’ best releases yet!Tonight at 10 p.m. EST all of the fun new sets and products you’ve seen previewed over the last several days will be available!

Today is the last day for teaser prizes, so be sure to leave comments as you look around!  You can find direct links to today’s samples HERE on Kim’s blog.  And don’t forget to check out the pre-release party (HERE) tonight from 8-10 p.m. EST for lots of fun, chatter, winners from today’s comments and the announcement of our next Guest Designer!  🙂

Today we’re previewing Clearly Sentiment about Success and WTG Fiesta!

Shoot for the Moon

I like many of the quotes in the Clearly Sentimental about Success set, but for today, I chose Shoot for the Moon.

I colored a grungeboard (chipboard) star with a black Copic, then layered atop a star die-cut using MFT’s Stacking Stars Die-namics.    Along the bottom (inside and out) I used Open Scallop Border Die-namics.

On the inside, I used a partial sentiment from Wrapped in Love (WTG), a couple more of the stars (stacked), and a piercing template to add a little tail to the star.

Just to recap:

  • Pre-release party HERE tonight from 8-10 p.m. EST.
  • All new sets and products available tonight at 10 p.m. EST HERE
  • Release Hop & Shop beginning at Kim’s blog tonight at 10 p.m.  There will be a prize hidden along the way in the hop too!  (I love prizes.  Don’t you?)
