Cut it Out

Hi everyone!  It’s time for another challenge with Kraftin Kimmie.  This week Donna has challenged us to paper-piece.  This one was right up my alley.  I did end up keeping my card pretty simple though as I’ve been crazy busy with end-of-the-year school happenings, out-of-town visitors and life in general.

You’ve Got Game

Here I’ve used Krista from Kimmie’s latest release.  I think she’s cute.  🙂

I pieced her outfit then added a bit of shading with gray Copics.

To see more pieced projects, you can check out the Krafty Blog HERE.  If you decide to play along, be sure to post a link to your creation there on the Krafty Blog for your chance to win a free stamp from Kraftin Kimmie!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

MFT June Teasers, Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of June previews with My Favorite Things!  Today the team is sharing samples of  Clearly Sentimental about Friendship, Jolinne I Love You This Much and Pretty Pocket, another Die-namics Duo (stamp and die set).

Wishing You…All the Love You Can Hold

Here I’ve used the new Jolinne set, I Love You This Much.  I colored my image with Copics and added the ground with pencils.

I stamped the string of hearts a second time, colored, and then cut out all but the first and last hearts (as one piece).  I did include the little “strings” leading up to the first and last hearts when I cut out the string so that I could attach the string “ends” to the hearts Jolinne is holding.  So only the center hearts/strings are popped up.   (Does that make sense?)   🙂

On the inside, I used the tiny hearts from MFT’s Notched Tag Die-namics (currently out of stock), drawing in the little string with an Olive marker.

Along the bottom on the front, I used one of our new Die-namics releases, Open Bracket Border.

Here are the details about the upcoming release:
