MFT June Teasers, Day 3

I’m back with more June teasers with My Favorite Things!  Day 3 is almost always my favorite since it’s “Pure Innocence Day.” 

Again, I kept my layout simple, using a previous MFT sketch as my inspiration.

You’re My Little Firecracker

This month the Pure Innocence sets include My Little Firecracker, Ring Bearer, Wedding Flower Girl, Popping By and Rose.  I had to go with the little firecracker.

I used more of the hot, hot, HOT Picket Fence papers by Lily Bee Design, paper-piecing the dress and adding a bit of shading with markers.  For the buttons, I added two mini brads and then sketched in a bit of grass with pencils.

The inside was finished simply.  I stamped a partial silhouette of the girl and used a second sentiment from the set.

I used the larger ribbon “tail” from our new First Place Award Ribbon set for my sentiment.  I LOVE being able to die-cut that flag shape!

And along the bottom on the front, I die-cut two scallopy strips using MFT’s Simply Scallops Die-namics.
