Thanks, Matey

Hi everyone!  Aside from having been scared half to death yesterday with the earthquake, all is well here and I’m ready for this week’s sketch challenge with My Favorite Things.  🙂

Thanks, Matey!

I expected to have a hard time with this one.  You know how I feel about tilted panels and such.  But in the end, I like how this turned out.  (I don’t know that I’d choose to use this sketch again, but I like the end result. lol.)

I’m happy with my little pirate boy, Claire Keay’s Ahoy Matey.  I colored him with Copics, then “dirtied” him using Prismacolor pencils.

On the inside, I tilted the one panel to remain consistent with the front (even though I wanted to straighten it).

I used the File Tab die for the front sentiment and Dainty Dots Border along the left edge (of the straight panels) on the front and inside.

You can find direct links to DT samples HERE on the MFT blog.  The info is also posted in the MFT Forum in SCS.  (Look for the most recent WSC thread numbered 34.)   And remember, if you upload your card to the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch, you will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money!  One winner is chosen at random each week.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!
