Sketchy with MFT

Hi everyone!  We’re up to Sketch No. 43 with My Favorite Things!  Can you believe it?

I pretty much followed the sketch, but I placed the heart/button (inspired by Joanne) on the right instead of the left, and I widened the center strip.  It’s a great sketch, one I’m sure to use again.

This week I chose Calendula from the Pure Innocence collection.   I ♥ her.

I couldn’t resist piecing her dress in the gingham.  The rest is colored with markers, and grass was whisked in using Prismacolor pencils.

The heart was die-cut using the smallest of hearts from Hearts a Plenty Die-namics and a thin sheet of cork.  The scallopy border was cut using Double Scallop Border Die-namics.

Inside, I stamped the sentiment in black and the silhouette using Cantaloupe Memento.

You can find direct links to DT samples HERE on the MFT blog.  The info is also posted in the MFT Forum in SCS.  (Look for the most recent WSC thread numbered 43.)   And remember, if you upload your card to the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch, you will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money!  One winner is chosen at random each week.

Thanks for visiting!  Have a great day!
