It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for another sketch challenge with My Favorite Things!
This week I’ve used Pure Innocence Ski Girl along with Tag, You’re It Die-namics. I am in NO way a ski girl…or even a “snow” girl (unless I’m admiring from the inside…next to a lit fireplace….with a warm drink in hand.) But this was fun to put together.
I pieced the girl’s outfit, using a cute Nordic print for her sweater. The girl, skis and mittens are all popped up on foam boosters and there is a cardboard die-cut tag layered beneath the patterned one. The tag is mounted on foam boosters as well to accommodate the bow in the back. (I didn’t like it on the front.)
The white dots on the tag were created using Sakura’s White Opaque Souffle pen.
I had a pile of white brads that I hated, so I thought this would be the perfect way to get rid of a bunch, creating snow on the light blue print. (I’m not certain of the brand so I don’t want to name names, but the prongs are almost impossible to open, which I find very annoying.)
You can find direct links to DT samples HERE on the MFT blog. The info is also posted in the MFT Forum in SCS. (Look for the most recent WSC thread numbered 47.) And remember, if you upload your card to the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch, you will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money! One winner is chosen at random each week.
Thanks for visiting!
