Look After My Heart

When I first started designing my card (in my head), I knew I wanted to layer and stitch our new Layered Heart Die-namics with Clearly Sentimental about Romance.  When I decided (in my head) to place a sentiment across the center, I chose this one only because it was a good fit for the space.  (All of the quotes in the set are fantastic!)  Then once I actually READ the quote, I kind of chuckled to myself because it’s an “Edward” quote and I’m a big Twilight fan.   So I love it.  🙂

I had to ‘slide’ the author’s name to the left a bit in order to get the perfect fit.

Before stitching, I placed a few foam boosters beneath the sentiment to add a bit of dimension.  (The heart itself is raised on foam boosters too.)

And, of course, I had to use more of my favorite new Rolled Scallop Flowers.  LOVE these!  To create the smaller flowers, I simply rolled part of the die-cut strip, clipping off the unused portion and securing ends with glue dots.

Peeking out from beneath the strip of twill, I used another of our new Die-namics releases, Jumbo Monarch Border.
