Chocolate is Good…

Happy New Year, every0ne!  I’m planning on it being a good one!  How about you?  🙂

Today we’re sharing samples using the two new à la modes, Genie and Chocolate Bar.

I chose super-cute Chocolate Bar à la modes.

I paired my chocolate girl with My Mind’s Eye Kraft “Happy Days” paper (thank you again, Bar!).  I pieced just the tiniest peek of her skirt from a small plaid shape within one of the patterned sheets.

• Paper-piecing tip:  Always look through patterned paper packs for tinier prints in stripes, tags or within other patterns in the pack.  Sometimes there are even smaller prints on the paper pack cover.

I found my tiny piece for the plaid skirt here.  It worked perfectly.  🙂

I die-cut two scalloped buttons using Button Quartet Die-namics,  one from kraft, one from chocolate (cardstock, *snort*).  I then cut out the center circle from the dark brown button and layered it atop the kraft button, tying together with jute string.

On the inside, I completed the sentiment and stamped the silhouette in Rich Cocoa ink.
