Sending Smiles Across the Miles and an End of Year Party

It’s time for another sketch challenge with My Favorite Things, but first let’s talk about the PARTY!

To celebrate your participation in any or all Wednesday Stamp Club challenges in 2011, MFT is throwing a party with lots and lots of prizes. You MUST register by January 7th in order to participate. You can find all details HERE.  Sounds like a LOT of fun!  You won’t want to miss it!  🙂

I wanted to use another of our new Pure Innocence sets for this week’s sketch.  I chose Plane Amazing.  So cute, and I love the sentiments in the set.

After coloring with Copics, I added shine to the goggles using a clear Sakura glaze pen.

The plane is from You Move Me Die-namics.  It’s cut from brown cardstock then layered atop a cardboard die-cut.

I die-cut one of the bigger tails from First Place Award Ribbon, stamped my sentiment, then trimmed and stitched the end to secure.

On the inside, I stamped a silhouette of the girl and added a sentiment from Chrysanthemum, another Pure Innocence set.

You can find direct links to DT samples HERE on the MFT blog.  The info is also posted in the MFT Forum in SCS.  (Look for the most recent WSC thread numbered 53.)   And remember, if you upload your card to the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch, you will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money!  One winner is chosen at random each week.

Thanks for visiting!  Have a great day!  🙂
