Snow Day! (Not really)

Once again, it’s time for a new sketch with My Favorite Things!  I had been wanting it to snow, so I used a snow set, hoping to encourage the weather.  And guess what?  It DID snow!  Nice big fluffy flakes.  It snowed pretty hard for a while, but not enough to close school.  So it all worked out perfectly.  😉

For this sketch I used Pure Innocence Heart Warmer.

I stamped the boy onto X-Press It Blending Card (my fave cardstock for Copics), colored and cut out then adhered him over the ruled paper.  I stamped extra snowballs, cut them out and piled around the flag.  The sentiment is from another Pure Innocence set, Snow Day.  The pole is from Mini Pennant Die-namics and the flag was cut using one of the Mini Wavy Pennants Die-namics.

I stitched a wooden snowflake and button to the lower right corner using jute string.

On the inside, I used Typewriter Alphabet to create my own sentiment.  The button was cut from cream cardstock using Button Quartet Die-namics.

You can find direct links to DT samples HERE on the MFT blog.  The info is also posted in the MFT Forum in SCS.  (Look for the most recent WSC thread numbered 54.)   And remember, if you upload your card to the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch, you will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money!  One winner is chosen at random each week.

Thanks for visiting!  Have a great day!  🙂
